Ethnica Hotel Old City

Good prices for absolutely amazing food, everything we tried from seafood, testi kebab and lamb. Very close to all sightseeing spots in Istanbul and staff is super friendly. Sali and Kado treated us like kings and made us wanting to keep coming back.

Great location, staff and overall attitude! The only thing we found not in good condition was the running water in the bathroom - it constantly kept changing from freezing cold to hot in the matter of moments. Apart from that, everything else was amazing!

This little hotel has great location and friendly staff. Sirkeci/Marmaray stations are just 1min away. The rooms are small but clean. Only thing that bothered us was noise from the street as it is settled in the busy neighbourhood and windows are not sound proof. We had certain problems first night with our accomodation and we were offered room nearby just for that night (they gave us free breakfast next morning). Staff organized airport transfers for us which was really convenient.

Really nice place with great location. All sightseeing’s are in 5-10 min, this is useful. Personal are friendly and helpful. Also there are good restaurant on first floor. Food are traditional Turkish and very tasty. Ideal place for feeling atmosphere of Istanbul. Highly recommend.

We stayed in hotel for 2 nights and it perfect place for feeling atmosphere of Istanbul. First of all, location is amazing, all signseeings pretty near and you have enough time to visit all of them. Secondly hotel has restaurant on first floor, so you don’t need worry about diner, food is very tasty) Also the staff are nice and friendly, I liked this place a lot👍🏻

I was in there before two weeks, we love their meal and services location nice. All historical places is very near. All employment lovely and smiley. Entire rooms are cleaning every day. I am going to visit again

Correct price, clean, small rooms but ok for staying in the room only during the night. They changed towels every day. Walking distance to all main landmarks. If you really want to experience the real and exciting life of Istanbul, this is the perfect place to stay. We got lost in our way to the hotel, but Rami (the most helpful and friendliest recepcionist ever!!!) guided us and even came on the way to meet us (we drove to Istanbul). He solved the problem with the parking (there is a private parking next to the hotel and for 4 nights we paid 240 TL). Should you need any information, help or guidance, ask Rami. He will surely do his best to help you. He ordered a birthday cake for my husband's birthday, he recommended and booked a cruise trip on Bosphorus for us which turned into an unforgettable night! The food at the restaurant is delicious and Robin, an exceptional young man, is the best entertainer and chef! Always smiling and joyful, he made us feel the real and vibrant atmoshere of the citu and Turkish hospitality. These two guys made our family trip fantastic! Strangers at the begging, friends after only 4 days! Thank you again, guys! We will surely come back!🙂

My first time in Istanbul was so much easier because of this place. Helpful and great stuff, nice rooms, beautiful food and in the very old city center. The biggest monuments are about 10 minutes walking distance. They organize us a transport from the airport and back. Very best recommendations and definitely my choice for the next time.

The hotel/restaurant is excellent located. It is close to almost all the tourist spots you need to visit while in Istanbul. The personnel was very nice (especially a girl whose name unfortunately I forgot, and a boy named Mihal). Everyone was so nice and polite. I would totally recommend this hotel! Something I didn't like about this hotel was the room, especially the bathroom (it needed a massive renovation)
