We had a great time at Honey Hotel! Asad and the staff were incredibly hospitable - they went above and beyond to help us, even carrying our suitcases. The hotel was very comfortable, and everyone there was so kind. Highly recommend this place.

I was charged twice. The receptionist asked me to pay in cash when I was checking in and then, they charged my credit card I used to book the room after I checked out. They refused to return the money. To add insult to injury, the room I stayed in was terrible. I was travelling alone but I was given a small room with one queen size bed and one twin bed. The door handle was broken. The room was moldy. There was mold on the walls in the bedroom and in the bathroom. The shower door was broken. The windows did not close properly, so I could hear everything happening outside and I could not sleep until 5 am. I will never go back there. The worst hotel in my life.

The location is great, close to all important places in Istambul. Our triple room is small but rather clean. They provide towels and cosmetics. Breakfast is served in a nearby Dimbil Restaurant and it is big and typically Turkish, fresh and very tasty. The view from the rooftop is nice but the place should be organized somehow. The bathroom is very tiny, it's hard to move around. One of the receptionists speaks no English. In fact, there is no reception, just a small desk at the entrance. We ask for an invoice and we don't get it.

The room was really nice, clean and comfortable. Visiting all the historical monuments is probably what most people do here, but the port is also not too far( you can walk to it) and choose excursions on your own, even though you have options with pick ups. It's in the center but still very safe and quiet. Ahmet, Bekir, Osman and Maksat did their best to make our staying safe and pleasant.

was the worst place ever!!! We payed 971 Turkish Lira. After shower I went to the bed, we were very tired after long road trip in car.. long story short we were bitten by bed mites😰🤯😱 🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳… when I found out what is that, we immediately ran downstairs! Would you like to stay in this hotel?? For us no way!!!! Well after been bitten all over the body, they gives us back 50% money of what we paid and we went back to car with very bad mood, bitten and still tired from road…

The photos are totally misleading. I checked out the rooms online, could not see the female only 4 bed dormitory and mistakenly thought it will be similar except have four single beds for females. The receptionist looked me up and down and sneered, Hostel ! You haven’t booked a Hotel you booked a hostel. He then led me down 8 steps into a cramped cellar stinking of mould and damp. It had 3 bunk beds packed tightly into a U shape with barely two feet floor space between them.

The dormitory is in basement. Cannot open windows so room is smelly, bed is damp and bathroom is moldy. No space, even I had only a backpack still it was uncomfortable, too tiny room. Internet is very bad, keeps disconnecting. Staff are very rude and lazy. Gave me a locker, but when i wasn't in the room my bag was removed and locker given to another person. There's problem with hot water - just no hot water or it can finish while you're showering. Asked for blanket, been given used one from next bed, private lightning and electric socket didn't work. Been told that I had to check it when checked in. I might would have if I get pay for the job, but i don't, and I'm not doing other people's job either.

We encourage potential guests to be vigilant with this property! Honey Hotel charged us twice for our stay: - The first time during check-in (this is normal), - And the second time a couple of days after we checked out - the credit card attached to the reservation was automatically charged again (this is of course not normal ). Over the next 3 months (!) we tried to contact the property directly to resolve the issue. The hotel management agreed and admitted that we were charged twice. But there was no progress on the refund: constant delays and conflicting information in responses from the hotel guest service, frequent unanswered phone calls and messages, etc. After a significant number of wasted hours in our attempts to return the money for the second payment - we completely decided to stop, since there was no longer any hope that our communication with the Honey Hotel could lead to anything productive. The problem was ultimately not resolved (no refund was credited to our account). I hope this review helps you make your choice! :)

We arrive at the hotel around 9pm, a time communicated through Booking well in advance, and we are welcomed almost as if they weren't waiting for us. We are checked in and asked to pay for the rooms, which we had already previously paid for via booking, so we show the receipt. Subsequently we were informed that for the first night the 2 rooms we had booked were not available and therefore we were asked the courtesy of staying in other rooms ready to make the change the next morning (only later would we discover that in reality our reservation it had been canceled by one of the guys at the "reception" shortly before our arrival). The following morning they told us that only 1 of the two rooms was ready, and what's more it wasn't even the one we had booked (we had explicitly selected the 15 m² room and instead we were given the smaller one). Once we reported this to the reception, we were initially told that that was actually the room we had booked and later, faced with the evidence, the guys at the "reception" started to pass the buck on each other by telling us that in the days following that they would change our room again. On the 3rd day we were informed that the others also had to change rooms, and we were asked to quickly pack our bags because in the meantime the people who had booked the room where the others had been staying for the first two nights had arrived. At least this time we were given the room we had booked on booking (15 m²). Also during the 3rd day we ask the "reception" why the rooms had not been cleaned and we are told that cleaning and changing towels were only done on request (something similar has never happened in any facility I have visited) . On the penultimate day we were asked if, for the last night, we finally wanted to change the smallest room we had been given to the 15 m² one, but feeling cheated we refused to move again. The icing on the cake arrives on the last day, we pack our bags and head to the "reception" to check out, at this point we are informed that they were on a call with booking because there had been problems with our booking. In summary at the time of our check out they admit that they canceled our reservation and tell us that for this reason they did not receive the money from booking. At this point another person appears, introducing himself as the hotel manager, asking us to wait while he is on a call with booking assistance to resolve the problem, all while the taxi we had booked was waiting for us outside from the hotel. After 20 minutes of calling he tells us that booking has started the refund procedure against us but that we would have to pay the entire amount of the stay again at that moment. To this question

Big lack of hygiene… bathroom with mold on the sink and shower. Shower glass broken as well as the bedroom mirror. No insulation present. We return at 1am and the windows are wide open on December 31st. And I move on... to flee

We had booked a room in March for 9/11 June '23. After a two and a half hour flight and spending more than three hours in a taxi, we couldn't wait to rest. But when we finally arrive at our destination (delayed because the traffic was truly something we had never seen), the boy at the reception (to call her in a kind and very generous way) tells us, as if it were the most normal thing in the world, that they had canceled the reservation because we had arrived late (I would like to point out that my husband had also called to inform us of the delay due to traffic). In short, regardless of the fact that he would have left us on the street, when asked to help us at least find a solution, he pleasantly replied that he couldn't. Don't trust me, you might have nasty surprises. I wouldn't recommend it even under torture

When I booked, I relied on the ratings from a certain hotel reservation site starting with B. And the rating was above 8/10. What's surprising is that now the rating is closer to 6 than above 8. This is not a hotel. It's more of a hostel. And the 3 stars, I don't know where they get that from. Positive points: the location, close to a lot of places to visit, not far from tram 1, not far from Sultanahmet. Presence of air conditioning. Comfortable bed. A small fridge. Negative points: exterior and interior noise. Traces of mold in the bathroom. Missing door in shower. No storage in the bathroom. Presence of ants. Smell of vomit. The cleaning lady only came once in 2 weeks of stay. No tea/coffee, just a kettle. Under the bed, it was disgusting, there were plastic bottles, a lot of dust. The room is very small. It's too expensive for what it is. I think people who give very good ratings have luxurious rooms.
