Ada Karakoy Hotel - Special Category

The location is truly amazing! It's not on a hill, and public transportation is just a 5-minute walk away, all for this price! And it wasn't noisy at all! (Of course, I stayed on weekdays, not the weekend, but even on Thursday and Friday, I slept soundly and peacefully.) I was worried because some reviews mentioned there was no elevator, but there IS an elevator!!! There's a terrace-like space on the 6th floor, and the view from there is absolutely beautiful~ In other accommodations in Turkey, the beds were too soft and my back hurt so much, but the mattress here is excellent! They don't just give you a blanket, they provide a real duvet – a great hotel... the best! The staff are also incredibly friendly and super nice; if there's any problem with the room, they resolve it right away~ They really take care of you!! If you're looking for accommodation in Karakoy, I highly recommend this place!

This is a good hotel near the Bosphorus, located down a small alley. The view definitely isn't great. The room was clean, and housekeeping came every day. Plus, they let me check in 2 hours early, which I really appreciated!

The staff are incredibly polite and accommodating. We even got a free upgrade from an economy to a standard room. However, I have to say the rooms are extremely compact, making you feel very cramped. The property itself is quite dated and really needs a renovation (broken shower fixtures, bathroom, tables, etc.). You can hear the neighboring rooms very clearly; even normal conversations are audible without effort, not to mention outside noises. Overall, aside from the excellent staff and great location, the accommodation isn't very good.

This isn't my first time staying at this hotel. It's very conveniently located near the port, with a lot within walking distance. There's a street with restaurants and cafes nearby. It's clear the hotel is a bit tired and could use some cosmetic work, but nothing too serious.

Everything is great, but there is a but. The water in the shower did not drain, we asked to look. It seems they tried, but the water did not drain during the rest of the stay. Wi-Fi failed for 3 days, did not connect, only once was successful. There are no questions about the bed linen: they changed everything, everything was clean. They did not refill the shower gel, on the 3rd day it was already empty. A solid three or four with a minus. The location is perfect, no argument there. And on top of everything, the top floor terrace is not functioning, the hotel is undergoing some kind of renovation at the beginning of July.
