The location is superb. It's safe and lively with famous restaurants nearby, and the mosque is close by, making it easy to sightsee. The tram station is also very close, which is convenient. The water from the tap smells bad. The bottled mineral water provided also tastes a bit bitter, making it unpleasant to even rinse my mouth with.

Overall, I had a good stay at Lapis Inn. The room was spotless, and everything was in perfect working order. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping supplies well-stocked, including fresh body wash, shampoo, water, tea, and coffee. The location is fantastic—extremely close to key tourist attractions and the tramway. My only feedback for improvement would be the breakfast: the staff could be a bit friendlier, and offering a wider selection of hot options would make a big difference.

The best thing about this hotel is the central location. Walking distance to the city train, Hagia Sofya, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, and all food and shopping places. We managed to go and pray at the mosque every morning. Breakfast was good, typical Turkish breakfast, and with the best view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya. The only downside to consider is the noise. There are bars and restaurants below the room windows, and it could be loud until late at night. And we just found out, in winter, the AC does not work 😅. So if it gets hot, you will need to open the window.

Great location for the hotel, though we had a bit of trouble finding it at first, as the entrance is tucked between a cafe and a shop. It's close to the main attractions, and there's a cafe on the rooftop with a splendid view of the square.

The location is superb, and the hotel terrace offers an amazing view. Breakfast is satisfying, and the street it's on is lovely and clean. It's not luxurious, but it has great potential to be much better with a little renovation. You can stay here with peace of mind.

Perfect location - all major sights are just a few minutes' walk away. The service was particularly attentive, offering advice on places to visit. Rooms are functional but very clean. Breakfast on the terrace offers a dream view. It's a buffet breakfast, but to a southern European standard (not as lavish as in Central Europe).

Awesome location. Near to Sultanahmet tram station, 60m. Surrounded by restaurants and hotels. Excellent rooftop cafe view. The room is spacious. I can perform solat without hassle. The hotel is doing renovation, so it effects quality of water in my toilet. The water turns to brown color and have to wait 5 minutes to cleared it. The room has kilat direction, iron and iron board. Really good. Overall it was an awesome stay at Lapis Inn hotel.

The room looks much nicer in the photo, of course. In reality, the renovation is of questionable quality; instead of a window, you'll see a picture of the wall of the neighboring building when you open it. Cleaning is mediocre, and tipping doesn't make much of a difference. Breakfast isn't particularly varied, but overall delicious. However, the view during breakfast is beautiful, and the location is excellent—right next to Sultanahmet Square, with a tram stop nearby. This photo was taken on the hotel's breakfast terrace. You can also borrow Turkish costumes from the lobby and wear them on the terrace.

Great place just minutes away from the main attractions. Convenient transportation. Only positive impressions from the visit.

Excellent hotel, great view during breakfast, convenient location

The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. It's well worth it just to have breakfast here and watch the night view. The location is also excellent, making it an excellent starting point for sightseeing.

I stayed here for three nights in December 2012, and it was a very nice hotel if you don't require any special services. Good points - Location It's right in the middle of the tourist area of ​​the old town, just a few minutes walk from Sultanahmet Station.
