Black Art hotel

I arrived early and paid for 1:30 AM, but when I got there, they said my reservation was from 2 PM and asked for an additional €35. I didn't have any money on me since I just came from the airport, so I had to wait until 2 PM, even though there were empty rooms available. During my 3-day stay, they only came in once to 'clean' – they replaced the shampoo and took out the trash, but didn't touch the wet towels or dirty floor. I had to go get fresh towels myself. Overall, it's not a bad hotel though.

The value for money is good. The room was cleaned every day. Towels were changed once in 4 days, but shampoo and soap were always replenished. The soundproofing is much better than in other hotels in Turkey. If someone is shouting in the next room or taking a shower, you'll hear it, but you definitely won't hear regular conversations. You also won't hear the morning call to prayer. Breakfast is decent. Cheese, sausage, fruit, some kind of pastry, and bread with jam. They also offer a choice of an egg, or you can ask the staff to make an omelet. The hotel's location is a bit inconvenient. You can walk to Istiklal in 10 minutes, but there's a very steep hill, so walking to the hotel with a suitcase will be easy, but getting from there to the metro will be a bit difficult. Also, overall, the hotel seems to be located near a road, but only 2 buses run there on a very strange route, so it's easier to get to the center on foot.

It was great that we could check in quickly. The room was clean, but we couldn't get the air conditioning to work.

The hotel has a cozy, old-school vibe. The rooms are small, but comfortable. We overslept and missed breakfast, so I can't comment on it.
