Hanende Hotel

The rooms are small so you can only use the hotel for sleep ; however the rooms are clean , room service is available only in the morning , alot of good local restaurants around . The receptionist was a very good man

Nice hotel tucked away from the Hustle Bustle first time staying here. The hotel was very good. Looked like it had been refurbished recently and the finishing was fantastic. We were given a room with a balcony which really made a difference to our stay. Staff very friendly. Location was fantastic. Just off the main road. The only downside was that it did not offer breakfast so we had to find it ourselves. Otherwise this is a fab hotel and I would recommend to everyone who wants to stay in this area.

I’ve never felt more like a precious daughter than before I met the nice man at the front. He’s helped us since before we booked everything and treated us so well. Helped us out and stayed professional but was super accommodating to us the whole time. Never invaded our spaces and was completely respectful the entire time. Recommended us places to go and eat as well when we first came and even offered us to let him book us a taxi for transport anywhere! I truly felt like he was a nice grandfather type of man! True Turkish hospitality, if I come back I would definitely book this place again!! (It was a bit hot in the rooms but honestly I didn’t know how to work the AC so haha)

I highly recommend staying at this small but good quality hotel. The hotel is well located in Fatih out of the high cost tourist area, but an easy walk to Sultanhamet. My room was small but well appointed and perfect for a solo traveler. The hotel manager, Mr. Dogan, is the best. He is friendly, kind and helpful. His advice helped me have a much better visit than I would have had otherwise. He gave great advice about what to see and how to avoid being overcharged as a tourist. I will definitely return here for my next visit.

Very hard to find, but once inside, excellent inner city pension style. Quiet, non-smoking. Strong shower etc. Small but everything that is needed. The café below, with the same name, might open at some point. Not too many breakfast options in the immediate neighbourhood.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. I wish I could go back in time and never book at this place. Trust me you’re better off sleeping in the streets. The owner or manager who ever he was has no idea what the word hospitality means. I honestly have no idea why he is in the hotel business. In the ten days we stayed there was never a hello or a smile from him. He was the most disrespectful human being (I wouldn’t even call him that- the stray cats and dogs are more respectful) I have been interacted with. We had talked before I landed about airport pickup and drop off and the night before our flight I asked him what time the driver would be here to pick us up the next day. He started to mock me and say that it wasn’t possible and if we wanted it, it would cost me $25 more than what we had talked about on text message. I pulled up our messages to show him proof and I had seen that he had deleted all his messages. The people of Istanbul are all thieves but this man takes the cake. Please do yourself a favor and book anywhere else….trust me ANYWHERE.
