Sultanahmet Nu Hotel

Stayed for one night and really liked it. It's close to public transport, attractions, and places to eat. Come and visit!

We stayed at this hotel for a week. It's located in the historic part of the city, within walking distance of many attractions. Yes, the path directly to the hotel is a bit steep. The tram stop is a 5-minute walk away. Although the room was small, it had everything we needed. Towels were changed daily. We booked a room with breakfast. The breakfast might not be super diverse, but you won't go hungry. It was very convenient to have cold water, hot water, tea, and coffee always available near the reception. We'd fill our water bottles before heading out to explore the city. Or, after coming back from a walk, we could comfortably sit in the lobby and have some water, tea, or coffee. The room also had a tea and coffee making kit, and complimentary water bottles. Breakfast was served on the terrace on the 7th floor, and the views of Istanbul from there are absolutely stunning – worth staying at this hotel just for that! The terrace is also open in the evening, so you can sit and enjoy Istanbul by night. I'm very satisfied with my stay at this hotel; the price matched the quality. If we're ever in Istanbul again, we'll definitely stay here.

Pros: The hotel's location is superb. There's a T1 tram stop nearby, which goes to all the main attractions. The hotel's terrace on the 7th floor deserves special mention—the sea view from there is simply incredible. I'd come back to this hotel just for those views. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the bedding and towels are pristine white. The breakfasts are good; by the third day, I was a bit tired of them, but I never left hungry. Cons: I booked an economy room. Everything was fine, but the walls were too thin. It felt like all the guests were in one room; you could hear absolutely everything, starting from the reception area. So, if I book again, I'll definitely choose a room on a higher floor. All the staff, except for the room cleaner and the dark-skinned guy at reception, were grumpy and unfriendly. But I didn't really care.
