Great hotel and very friendly staff. The location was excellent and the room was very spacious.

Nice hotel in a great location. 5 mins walk to the waterside where boats , buses and transport awaits. The hotel itself is very relaxed and the bar attached is also the same. The food is good decent fare and is beautifully cooked by the nice ladies in the open kitchen. The room itself is well appointed and comfortable. I did not stay in the top floor suite but is is a great suite. I think, it is the whole top floor, with amazing views out over the some of the city, and Bosphorous Strait. All around is everything you need . Various restaurants, grocers, cake shops, barbers , pharmacies etc. This is not a 5 star hotel bit ot is very comfortable and relaxed

My advice would be to avoid this hotel if you can. It is not clean, my sheets and pillowcases had makeup stains on them and the towel had a stain too. The day I asked for the room to be cleaned (one day out of three) they left the same stained sheets and towels on! The sheets were itchy, although nothing bit me as far as I could tell! All the furniture in the room was kind of battered and felt a bit like it's falling apart - the overhead shower in the bathroom didn't work and in fact looked like it would fall from the ceiling any minute. The lady preparing breakfast had a cold and was not wearing a mask and coughing near the breakfast. The street is very noisy all night which didn't bother me but might be something to consider for others. On the positives - this hotel benefits from a really great location in Besiktas, convenient for lots of shops and restaurants, Dolmabahce and for Jinemed hospital. The room was spacious, the wifi is stable and fast, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The AC heat setting works well to have the room warm and shower gives hot water. It wasn't even a particularly low pricing - I think you could find a much better place to stay in Istanbul for this price point. It's a shame because it's a great location and with a bit of investment and effort this could be such a cute and comfortable hotel.

First time in turkey and really enjoyed our experience with Bosfora, we had a good view overlooking the street it was kinda loud but we enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff are all extremely nice and great English especially Burak he helped us with places to eat and locations to see overall very happy :) room was cute and warm too.

My favorite hotel. Location is super so near to everything. The staff is super friendly and helpful specially Ali. I would definitely come back here again whenever I’m in Istanbul. Rooms are super clean .

If you’re looking for a very good hotel in Beşiktaş, don’t search alot and choose this one. I stayed at Hotel Basfora in end of June 2023 and it was amazing! The location was perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and shops and it was near to the attractions places in Istanbul. The neighbourhood was peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. The reception staff, especially Mehmet, were incredibly responsive, welcoming, and very helpful. His warm welcome, guidance, and assistance made our stay even more enjoyable, this applies to all the other staff also. The cost vs value at Hotel Basfora was excellent, offering a great experience at a reasonable price. However, it would be even better if the price included breakfast. Starting the day with a delicious meal would have added that extra touch of convenience and value. Additionally, there were a few minor maintenance issues in the bathroom, with water flow and a broken iron and AC. The elevator was also a bit slow and the rooms are not spacious. These are areas that could be improved to enhance guest satisfaction. Nevertheless, despite these minor drawbacks, Hotel Basfora remains a fantastic choice for an affordable stay in Istanbul. Also one note: there’s another hotel called Basfora plus belongs to the same owner, make sure to read the reviews of that one too, I made a mistake by going there first but I got to know the amazing reception staff there. We booked two separate beds, and they arranged a double and a single sofa bed. It's baffling how the single sofa bed became a bed. They said they wouldn't have any other rooms unless we changed the room, and they said they should have mentioned it when booking, but since the reservation was already made that way, they said there were no other rooms available. The toilet smelled of sewage. There was also no heating; it felt like we were sleeping outside.
