The location is good and I recommend this hotel

This hotel is disappointing. We booked 4 nights and were given 2 cups of water on day 1. Subsequent ones have to pay for it. The room's door can't be locked when closed from outside. Reception sent technician who after some slamming the door and the door's knob, managed to lock. The aircon cut off, and the technician advised us to leave the aircon louvre opened, so we did(see pictures). The bathroom is very small, and the shower area is very tight (see picture with the width in comparison to the bedroom slipper). On our last dinner and breakfast, the door failed to lock again. So, we left it unlocked, hoping nobody goes in when we are out. The services of the staff were good and friendly,especially the housekeeping staff did a great job. Getting to the hotel was challenging as we had to lug our lugages uphill from our coach to the hotel(almost 8-10 minutes walk)

Rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller! Shower drains very slowly so one will be showering with water accumulating! Room window opens up to other houses and very close with loud noises from the street below. Room door wouldn’t lock and black ours a few times a night! Avoid at all costs.

A belated review I've be meaning to give, better late than never! We stayed here for 2 nights for the Champions League final. We arrived late at 2.30am. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. We asked if there was anywhere open to eat at that time. The staff member offered to go out and get food for us. He came back in 15 minutes with kebabs, beer and water! Just what we needed after a long trip. The rooms were clean and the showers had excellent water pressure. The breakfast was of excellent quality with lots of choice. The restaurant has a sea view. Just want to say thank you to all the staff as they went above and beyond to make us welcome and cater for our needs! I would definitely stay here again when visiting Istanbul.

The older overweight guy working the front desk physically attacked me. Punched, kicked and shoved me. Took my phone away from me when I recorded his assaults. First they lost our friends luggage completely. It was in their office the whole time. I had a very important client call. So I went to my friends room to take it. In the middle of the call this guy calls and starts yelling at my friend saying I must talk to him. He says that I need to leave asap. My friend tried his best to deal with it but the guy was yelling at him and threatening him. I’m trying so hard not to let my client know what is happening. Awkwardly I pause my call with my client to pick up the phone. The guy is irate and tells me he is going to get security to kick me out unless I come downstairs asap. So already I’m pretty pissed. I work in customer service and can’t imagine treating customers like this. I come downstairs and ask who did this. The guy aggressively comes up to me and starts yelling at me and and pushing/shoving me towards outdoors. He says I had no right to go upstairs and no one gave me permission. I of course was blown away and in shock so I reacted badly and I started yelling back at him. Especially when he put his hands on me. I started to record him and then he fought me over my phone and took it away from me. That’s the video attached. And at that point I lost my phone and started cursing at him. When outside he punched and kicked me. I was in complete shock over this experience. Thankfully I didn’t retaliate.

Recently, me and my sister stayed in a beautiful suite room. The room size was good, and it was extremely clean. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, and the restaurant's sea view was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel location was good. If you want an easy trip to the city and a relaxing time, you should try the Antik Hotel Istanbul 100%. Sema Akyildiz

While I personally had a good experience with this hotel (other than initially receiving the wrong key card for my room), other members on my tour group experienced many issues and one of them was even physically and verbally assaulted by the hotel staff after staying in the hotel and being in our friend’s room. That friend, a guest at the hotel, was also then assaulted. This is unacceptable and extremely disappointing behaviour considering it could have easily been handled in a civil manner.

I loved this hotel so much, the staff were so nice and helpfull especially murat ❤️, the hotel itself has great vibes and aura, totally loved the design and thyme, it was clean and neat, highly recommend.

The location is not famous but near the main attractions (grand bazaar). The staff was friendly however you can notice poor construction materials even in the reception with a improvised “coffee house”. The rest only gets worse. Tiny rooms where you can hear everything from the other room. Hard beds, old pillows and general lack of comfort. Even the breakfast was “discounted”.
