Asia City Hotel Istanbul

Came for a surgery and stayed here just before and for a week after. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was on the small size but still okay. TV didn’t have any English channels but luckily brought a laptop for entertainment. The WiFi was a bit spotty at times but mostly good. Overall was quite clean. Breakfast was a classic Turkish breakfast including cheese options, some meat options and some hot food, also did have a couple cereal options as well.

I am adding my review a year after staying as I need to warn people this hotel is mainly used by surgeons to lodge their patients. I had bad surgery by Ercan Karacaoglu at memorial hospital which is next door. The hotel is okay but the cleaner of my room was clearly poor and kept asking for tips as they know if you’ve had surgery you have money. The male receptionist looks down his nose as you and it was a battle to get a receipt for what was supposed to be a room upgrade. The room was the first floor opposite a bar which was noisy to the early hours. Breakfast was average but Cem was wonderful and spoke great English. If you are reading this because you are booked for surgery with Ercan Karacaoglu please be warned I am back in Istanbul along with 3 other women I befriended as he has botched all of us. We are back speaking to other surgeons about his mess. He houses his patients her and is not necessarily who operates on you as I and a few friends have discovered . I have told the hotel he is making a mess of people and Ercan is still using this hotel so please cancel your operation with him if you don’t want to be botched the man is a butcher .

I stayed her post surgery and the staff were pretty good especially Cem Breakfast is passable. I would not recommend the surgeon I used at Memorial as since returning home I have realised he has botched me. EK is the initials. Please do not book with him. I am hoping as per the previous reviewer you are researching this hotel as it is predominantly a post surgery hotel and nothing else. THis is one of the only ways I can get the word out to help spare people the pain I have had since returning. The Hotel is far away from the tourist area of Sultannamet and no taxi wants to take you due to the traffic. I can't fault the hotel only the surgeon I used believing they were credible but tuned out they are a major botcher. When I return to Istanbul I was looking at Kadikoy as you can get the ferry over to all the tourist attractions.

If you are reading this it may be because you are booked for surgery at memorial hospital if so please read this as a warning. The hotel is average although the room I had was the first floor opposite a drinking club and got extremely noisy to the extent I could not sleep . I also had to go to reception at 2am one morning as the staff were having a riot in the next room. The last thing you need after surgery. The sneaker was poor and was asking me for tips which I gave but he kept appearing at the door looking for more money and trying to do extra things but I felt so sorry for him I was giving him food too. I think as you’ve had surgery they know you have money. The whole point of my review though is more to warn against using Dr Ercan Karacaoglu. I have botched surgery and since coming home have contact with 8 other people he has butchered . Do yourself a favour and don’t book with him .

I have stayed at this hotel with my friend for 2 weeks. It was lovely. Breakfast is looking very good and taste good.the staff are friendly. the only problem the location was far if you want to travel to the central Istanbul or Europe side which u get a taxi. However it was close to the hospital&hair transplant clinic I had a operation up there. I definitely would go back.

The walls are just way too thin! The next door guests have bothered me for 2 days/nights with their loud voices, fighting, crying and so on. So, it has not been a very relaxing or peaceful stay. I probably won’t stay here again.

I could enjoy the hotel even if I was in my room only at night,
