AHG Atlas Hotel Taksim

Taksim Istanbul|2.96km from Topkapi Palace

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

We travel quite a bit as a family ( 2 children ages 7 and 12 ) but don’t always review. This hotel deserves every accolade we could provide. We had a family connecting room which was great and a perfect amount of space for all. Having two bathrooms was a real plus! Beds were comfortable and the room servicing was impeccable. The people go above and beyond, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and has such a special charm. It is perfectly located to everything in the Old Town and has a beautiful terrace to sit on and enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. We would sit out at night and watch the sun set with a glass of wine and Fanta for the kids. The breakfast is wonderful and excellent quality. Have it included in your stay if you can. It is worth it. We search for great food and this exceeded our expectation. It is so fresh and changes daily. The staff is attentive and so helpful. The shop directly beside, Tencer Gift Shop is so wonderful. The owner is so kind and generous. We recommend getting something from him over the Grand Bazaar. Overall we had an incredible experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Sirkeci Mansion from the Canadian Family.

It's okay because it's close to the tourist spots. I stayed in a small room, but I could put a suitcase and I couldn't see the beetle. However, if the carrier is heavy, it will be a little uncomfortable when climbing the stairs. It's a good value for money hotel considering the price. Soundproofing is not good.

We had a reservation for 4 rooms - 2 quadruple, 1 for 5 people and 1 single. For 4 nights. First - we decided 2 of the rooms to extend our vacation and go 1 day in advance and made an additional reservation through Booking. She was canceled from the hotel on the day of arrival with the excuse that they could not check the credit card / and the reservation for the remaining 4 nights in all rooms was guaranteed with the same card and ”managed” to withdraw money after that /. We arrived all 4 rooms in the evening for accommodation and it turned out that they do not have any rooms, nothing that our reservation was made 2 months ago, and also nothing that Booking still had rooms available, but at much higher prices. We would be accommodated in another hotel for 2 nights and then move back. Anyway, we agreed. We go to the other hotel, there they give us 4 rooms, only 3 double and 1 quadruple. There is no place to accommodate us all, there is no place to fall in the double needles, let alone put a bed. They were going to find us another room, but we had to pay for it. Do we have a choice?!? They send us to a third hotel, there the room is supposedly for 5 people, it is double again. Finally, we find a room in the fourth hotel, which can fit in somehow, crumpled and at 01.00 at night we successfully check in. After 2 days we moved together to the hotel where we had to be from the beginning. The rooms are not what we paid for at all, but at least we are not on the street! Conditions are miserable! Dirty, hair in the bathroom and the room, everything is falling apart, no blankets, they were washed, we have to wait until the evening for towels that they were not washed, the disgusting and disgusting breakfast ... The man from the single room moved him once more for last night. And all the time the behavior of the owner and staff was arrogant and impudent, without a gram of regret for what was happening !!! By no means do I recommend the hotel, even without money to offer it to you! Complete miserable !!!

We were very welcomed by our guest who was super sympathetic throughout our stay. We could choose our room. All is very clean and clean every day. The hotel is very well located near the shops, restaurants, metro station, monuments etc... but it is located in a street that is not noisy so noise at night! The room is equipped with air conditioning. If we go back to Istanbul, it will be in this hotel!

We stayed at Romantic Mansion Apartment on two occasions during Oct.2019. The apartment is good and clean. The breakfast slight above average. There is room for improvement though. The location is excellent. BUT.... The biggest plus factor was the meeting of Mr.Selim the Manager of the Hotel. This gentleman went out of his way to ensure our pleasant enjoyable memorable holiday of Turkey. He fought valiantly with Tour Operators for prices on Hot Air Balloons in Cappadocia; Taxi operators to Airport to and fro; shopkeepers;organizing Tramp cards; and sorting local arrangements daily. Holiday was fun with his local assistance all the way. His personality was exceptional. Thank you Mr.Selim In appreciation which should not go unnoticed.
