Sultan Ahmed Mosque Istanbul|0.58km from Whirling Dervishes
We stayed at the glk home suites for 5 days. The location is close to everything just the hill to walk up to the main blue mosque square was a killer but well worth it. THE MAIN GUY AT RECEPTIONIST IS THE BEST ! I don’t even know his name but so helpful and honestly the best I’ve ever meet to help with everything. The breakfast is ok I won’t say it’s a 5 star hotel breakfast though it was the same things everyday (no fried eggs) only scrambled or boiled no cucumber so I won’t rate the breakfast highly but it’s ok to keep you going. Our room was small not to big but we was still ok with it the bath is not exactly big so if your skinny and short perfect tall and big built your legs will hang out on top :) CLEANERS EVERYDAY EVEN SUNDAY they did a fantastic job thank you.. the main thing is anything you buy in the hotel you pay more for including Turkish coffee came to about 45tl each 3 euros when outside just on the corner of the hotel you could have it for 25tl that was the only downside it’s very expensive inside the hotel. All together we had a great time there was some negative parts like breakfast been same things missing. Bath been very small rooms small a bit but other then that it was a great stay.. I don’t think I’ll ever stay there again because of that hill walk to go up was very steep if you have a pushchair or wheel chair it is very hard. The hotel offers pcr test for 200tl each person you could have it done around the corner for 119tl per person. One more positive note I ordered things online which was delivered to the hotel they always collected it for me not every hotel will except this thank you. We enjoyed our stay thank you GLK especially main guy at reception if we do ever come up it will be because of your great hospitality thank you guys …

First of all, it was easy to arrange for a shuttle to pick me up from the airport via booking.com. The cost is reasonable, considering it was later at night I finally got there, due to a long delay of my flight. The gentleman who met me was/is very funny. Quite the the jokester. Kinda like me. 😁 The room was super nice and clean and modern. The toilet actually worked well, which was a very nice change after trekking in Nepal for a month. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. I absolutely LOVED the breakfast, with cherry juice and orange juice, cheese unique to Turkey, sausage for crackers and a lot of other super healthy options in relation to making salads. LOVED the cherry juice. The location is great!!! It is near everything you might want to see on the European side: Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Theodosius Cistern, Theodosius Obelisk, the serpent column, taken from the Roman Hippodrome and brought to the Hippodrome in Constantinople, now Istanbul, as I’m sure most of you are aware. It’s about a twenty minute walk to the beautiful Süleymaniye mosque (nicer in my opinion than the Blue mosque). Maybe a ten to fifteen minute walk to the dock for the Bosporus River cruise port. Istanbul has some of the oldest buildings in the world, a totally worthwhile city to spend a few days in. Incredible history here!!! In conclusion, due to the super nice hotel, with a super friendly working staff, reasonable prices and great location, I recommend this hotel to anyone. You can’t go wrong here. Thanks for reading. The location is very good, it is very convenient to various attractions, can be walked, suitable for couples and families. And the hotel is very clean, and the owner is warm and friendly, every day he asks if we need help. Every employee inside is very kind Seagulls can be seen flying over from the breakfast balcony; stay, children love it The boss gave us welcome drinks and small desserts. Next time if I come to Istanbul again, I will still choose here recommend

The location is very good. Just behind the Blue Mosque. The room was very light and there was no obstruction. Also very clean. The bathroom facilities are general, there is a shower and there is no bathtub.

The location is the best to be, close to all the historical area. All the stuff was very kind and helpful. We had the roof room (5th floor) but the elevator didn’t work properly so they changed our room after 3 nights - and it was fixed only one day before our departure. The rooms are fully equipped and clean, however, there are quite some things to fix/renovate/maintain. Nothing that could really affect our stay though. The breakfast was basic but good. The hotel restaurant had some great choices if you decide to dine there as well. Overall it was a pleasant accommodation.

Can't beat the location of this hotel. Small room size aside, the staff and service was great. Rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided everyday, breakfast is a delicious selection and the view from the terrace is just amazing. We dealt directly with the hotel for our booking, no agents and Erdal at reception was amazing arranging eveything, transfers and even offered an upgrade to a bigger room. Turkish hamam was also recommended and arranged with an authentic hamam dating back to 1800s. Shops, restaurants, tram and attractions literally a stone throw away. We felt very happy with our choice to stay here and highly recommend it.

The location was perfect for east reach of all the touristic monuments. Lots of restaurants around and a great vibe. The hotel itself was fine but our rooms (204 & 206) felt claustrophobic as they had no windows. Also felt it was noisy and could hear people talking outside. Perhaps the hotel could put signs up to request the guests to be quieter in consideration of others. There was also cigarette smoke smell everywhere. Hotel itself wasn’t environmentally conscious as small bottles of water were provided on a daily basis so a lot of plastic wasted. No signs regarding re use of towels so towels were changed daily inspite of us hanging the towels. Breakfast was nice and staff helpful. Best thing was the location.
