Wyndham Garden Jacksonville

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times as a midway stop traveling back home from FL. We never really had any issues until this last stay. Our hotel room had two full size beds. As I was getting ready to go to sleep in one of the beds, I smelled the scent of urine. I thought I was going crazy but when I moved the pillows I definitely smelled urine coming from the bed. I had to share the other bed with my kid. What I couldn’t understand is how housekeeping made the bed up without realizing the mattress smelled of urine. Or, housekeeping did smell the urine and did not bother to do anything about it. This is something you would notify management about and throw away the mattress. I did notify the front desk about this. I always enjoyed staying at this hotel but after the urine filled bed and other guests being loud in the hallway at 2 o’clock in morning, I definitely will not be staying at this hotel again.

We took the trip to go Jacksonville down town and stayed a night in this hotel which is only 15 mins drive. There is nothing to complain about the hotel. Spacious entrance lobby. Environment is quiet and peaceful. There is a restaurant where we have fish fillets in the evening which are soft and tasty. Cheesecake is also good.

The check in lady was professional and lovely. The room was clean, just old and needs updating. The big issue is the smell in the hotel, and it was worse in our room. Because of that, I will not stay there again.
