"The hotel has a nice location on the beach, but the property could do with some updates. The first room I went into had a funny smell, so I reported it to reception. The male receptionist looked at me, and as if he doubted my word After I insisted, he assigned me a new room, but it was left to me to move my luggage. . No support was offered and I couldn’t be bothered to ask. I did ask if there would be any complimentary water put in the room. He said he would get housekeeping to put some water, but I’m still waiting two days later.  Power outlets in the room are limited and not designed for modern travel. No USB points. The TV is old and not smart or Internet connected. There are no cable channels so nearly all of the channels are local language apart from one CNN news channel in English.. The hotel is quite noisy and dogs. The walls are thin and guests scrape furniture across the marble floors. This is relatively easy to remedy if the hotel cared. The rooftop pool was disappointing as it’s quite small and normally full of kids. The restaurant is closed after breakfast. There is a bar, but it’s never open.. The biggest problem I had was the Internet. It did not work properly in my room and kept cutting out every few minutes. I had to stand in the corridor or come down to the lobby in order to get any decent coverage. I complained to the staff, but they did nothing and just told me it works.. This was extremely frustrating and I certainly wouldn’t come back to this hotel again."

"Incredible experience, I highly recommend it! My first time at Mirasol and I will definitely be back again. Great service from reception, especially Rafael. New accommodation and facilities. Recreations operating normally: Swimming pool, sauna and gym. For breakfast, I only expected extended hours until at least 11:00, although within the waiting period. Common options, not many options. I really liked it overall."

"The hotel was pretty nice and in a really good location just a short walk from the beach. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. The only negative is that the hotel is quite dated and could use some renovation."

"The hotel fulfils its promises! clean room, smelling and clean bed clothes. Breakfast and the perfect breakfast is worth it. Location is good, we went and walked back to the game in Maracana. It has a restaurant and bar right in front and if you need a drink, it is not a problem. It has 24-hour reception, we need a pharmacy help and we have the telephone quickly passed. The only point to wish but did not matter to such positive points was the travess, it could be higher and comfortable. We are happy with the stay. We recommend!!!"

"This hotel is a great stay in Barra. Like a lot of hotels in Rio, this one is old. The place has some relics of the last century: the phone is old, the furniture is old, etc. However, it makes up for it in other ways. The service is excellent at this property. The breakfast is very good, the room service is great and cheap, and all of the staff from doormen to bellhops to reception are attentive and professional. The breakfast attendants are more professional than most local waiters. You will get excellent service here. The hotel is also very pretty despite its age. The hallways and lobby are large, and it looks premium. The location is incredible if you like Barra. We only stayed one night, but we had a decent side view of the ocean from our room, and we easily had enough time for a nice walk on the beach before check-out. Windsor Barra Hotel is a great value; stay here if you value service and excellent access to Barra’s beach."

"Service at the hotel was excellent with the staff very quick to help with bags etc. The rooftop pool and bar was great and had amazing views of Copacabana. The room was a decent size and the shower very good. We had breakfast which had a good selection and was pretty decent."
