"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's located in a very narrow alley on the bustling West Street. The location was a little bit hard to find on Baidu Maps, but the hotel has some lanterns and signs to help guide the guest's way. The property itself was very peaceful. There is a courtyard with a pond and a roof where you can relax and enjoy great views of the Kaiyuan Temple towers. The room was clean and spacious. It is a pleasant mix of the modern and the old. I enjoyed being able to relax there in the evening. The service was very friendly. They provided free coffee and plum juice on arrival, and on the day of my check-out, they helped me store my luggage. The location is a great too, located in the heart of the Quanzhou ancient city. All the historic sites there, as well as the shopping and snacks on West Street and Zhongshan Road, are within walking distance. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting the Quanzhou ancient city."

"I came to Quanzhou to travel because I wanted to find a hotel close to the theater on the last day. I found the Fortress Shanshui Yise Hotel at the foot of Qingyuan Mountain. I arrived at the front desk of the hotel. The beautiful mountain lady was gentle and greeted with a smile. It was warm and afraid of our age when we checked in. I was noisy and couldn’t sleep well. I upgraded the room type. The room was clean and tidy. I will go to her house next time."
