"Staying here was good. Though for its price, the value is not at par. Rooms are too small. No free water and for the housekeeping, you need to inform them if you would want to clean up your room. Otherwise, they will not clean it. The location is good though, very near to the train stations. There are a lot of bar in the area."

"The second time I stayed at the Ikebukuro Hisoca Hotel, it was still very clean and tidy, the location was first-rate, and it was very convenient to walk 1 minute south of the west exit of JR Station. This time I chose a plan with breakfast. Breakfast is delivered to the door of the room every morning. I take it back to the room to eat. The meal is exquisite and delicious. There are croissants, bagel, small cakes, cheese and soup. It is very rich. We live on the 2nd floor. You can go to the lounge next door to get drinks, which is very convenient. I will choose to stay at this hotel again next time!"

Amenities were generously provided and thoughtfully topped up daily, which made our stay extremely comfortable and stress-free. The location is unbeatable. Being just steps from Tokyo Station made travel incredibly convenient, and the nearby Marunouchi tree-lined streets, beautifully lit in the evenings, created a magical atmosphere that we looked forward to every night. "Overall the building is brand new but tiny entrances with strps up to the lift level before it takes you to your floor. Very inconvenient to carry anything heavy up and down (strollers and luggages alike). What we really didnt like is that one of the days we realised a stranger (definitely not the guests in our next door unit) was able to enter into our floor and our gate (card access only to each floor) which is very unsafe! Make sure to lock your room door promptly everytime after opening. Our room for 4 was in another building away about 3mins walk from the main building where reception is. Reception service differs depend on which lady is on duty. The lady with fluent English is helpful, patient and friendly compred to the other who was impatient with us when we notified that housekeeping did not top up our in room amenities (green tea and coffee) for a couple days then. Our mini apartment of 2 single + 1 double beds comes with a mini kitchen + dining area which is great as there are many cooking appliances included. However windows of all 3 days open up to the next door buildings, cant really open all the way without peiple looking in. There is supposed to be housekeeping but we finally made a request to vacuum our floor after 3 days as all the snacks left behind by oyr kids were just left on the floor, in pieces or crushed powder format or swept under the beds... apparently cleaners only magic sweep the floor everyday. Also, if you need your beds made, need to put in special request too. Kids like the area which is where we are.familiar with, Shinjuku Gyoemae, nearby the garden. Not nearest to amenities but there is a 7-Eleven within steps away from our building. We will definitely.come back again for the right price."

"It’s hard to find a hotel with a higher price/performance ratio in Tokyo. The room also has a sauna room, the price is right, the quiet soundproofing effect is good, the front desk will not face the guests, and the privacy is very high."

"This is my second stay. This time it is better than the first one. The room lacks diagonal beams. Although the facilities are older, they are all complete. Because the location is very close to the station and Sensoji Temple, shopping and dining nearby are very convenient. The waiters are very friendly. If the requirements are not too high, it is worth staying."

"During my last stay, I found a used tissue in the bathrobe pocket. It was late and I was really tired, so I just mentioned it to the duty manager and didn't really press the issue, hoping they would fix it and offer some compensation next time. However, this stay, it was like they completely forgot about their previous mistake. My only request was a late checkout until 1 PM, which they initially refused. I had to get angry and bring up the previous incident before they finally arranged it. The breakfast was another issue. I was prepared to pay full price for it, as the hotel's breakfast really appealed to me. But they insisted my membership had expired and I couldn't get a discount, only for me to discover they had registered the wrong email and membership number… Fine, I guess I'll just save my money and skip breakfast! What should have been a pleasant stay has made me seriously reconsider whether I'll choose this hotel again in the future."

"The location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from Shinagawa Station. The main thing is that the rooms are very spacious, with the basic room type being 46 square meters, which is quite rare to find in central Tokyo. This is probably why you see more larger-built Westerners staying here, especially since the small bathrooms in traditional Japanese hotels would be difficult for them to even turn around in. The hotel's backyard garden is also stunning at night. Overall, a great experience!"
