It is only 10 minutes from Jaisalmer railway station by auto/car. Located in Kalakar colony, it is a small 2 storied homestay. Total have 8 rooms, 4 in each floor. Aamir was very helpful in ***aging our luggage, serving hot drinking water whenever we asked for, ***aging transportation, etc. He also made breakfast for us. The rooftop shed served as the dining area, well equipped with pillows and mattresses. In the evening, colourful lights make it more attractive. Overall a good stay at this homestay.

We had booked a room for 4 people through easemytrip. There was a confusion regarding the room when we arrived. The attendant tried to make 4 of us stay in a tiny room. When we argued they quickly sorted out 2 rooms (after allowing us to inspect the quality). Note just stating here that there shouldnt have been any confusion on booking, but importantly, they sorted it out quickly. The rooms were of ok quality - no fresh linen (bedsheet and blanket were torn in places) and quite small. Bathroom was also 2/5 (used shampoo sachet found). Our rooms were on first floor - stairs were very steep. Space for 1 car in front of the hotel. Park at your risk. Location is good - outside the fort, but not too far.

We are a group of 4 friends who stayed 3 nights at Rumi’s. The place is very pretty and clean, the rooms are practical with storage, bathroom small but efficient. The rooftop is magnificent, allowing you to see the sunset which is frankly superb. We spent two days resting on the rooftop without leaving the hostel because we felt so good there! The food is also very good. The place is very well located in the city (10 minutes from the main street food square where you can eat wonderfully). Ali, the owner is lovely, he came to pick us up directly from the station when we arrived. He is available, very friendly, speaks French very well and loves to interact with the people he welcomes. There is the possibility of going on a safari in the desert and sleeping under the stars. Ditto, it’s really worth it, it’s great! In short, I highly recommend it, really great value for money!

J"y ai séjourné près de 1 mois. On se sent comme à la maison chez Rumi's guesthouse. Les chambres sont simples, propres et bien décorées. Les 2 terrasses sont extraordinaires pour se reposer et admirer le soleil couchant. Les chambres du fond sont extrêmement calmes et c'est bien rare en Inde ! Le staff est très gentil et efficace. Ali se rend toujours disponible pour répondre aux questions et nous rendre service. Merci encore . J'espère revenir vite :)
