Smuggler's Notch exceeded our expectations. Most of the family had either never been skiing or hadn't been in many years. The slopes at Morse Mountain were not overly challenging yet well groomed and fun. The rooms were just what we needed. They were a little older but very clean and well maintained. We visited through RCI so you couldn't beat the value. Our rooms were a little noisy in the mornings because of the machines grooming the mountain but the trade off to be able to ski right outside the front door made it worth it. Our grandchildren (3 and 5) were with us and they would have lived in the Fun Zone, arcade, and pool if we let them. Overall, a great experience for the entire family.

Great mountain, runs varied and quite well maintained. Lifts are painfully slow. I just slept and boarded, so can't comment on the other stuff. But the accommodations were fine. The room i was in had directions that I should be smelling for gas before changing the temperature? A bit bizarre. Clearly written by somebody's grumpy dad. But ignore that, use the electric thermostat instead (which grumpy dad says don't use) and it was very nice.

Smuggs is always a winner for families which now include kids and grandkids. Having a grandchild who ends up with the same instructor as his Dad and a granddaughter who took 1 lesson and went from mid-mountain green trails to blue moguls in 2 days was a great experience for both of us. Keeping the vibe old school and limiting mountain capacity is also a great asset. If you want Vail, go elsewhere!

Smuggs is always great, friendly personal staff, cozy and clean amenities. Good food, especially the perk and hearth and candle. We love the old school double chairs and long challenging ski runs!

We booked an overnight stay for one night the same day. By far the best part about our experience was the friendly staff! We will definitely come back.

Smugglers Notch is truly a special place for vacation. We spent 5 nights on the mountain with our 3 children (6, 4, 1.5). The 4 and 6 year olds were in ski school each day and the 1.5 year old went to the daycare on site. This allowed my husband and I to have full days on the mountain to ourselves! Aside from the fun skiing and diverse terrain for everyone, our family enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, funzone (multiple bouncy structures inside!) and activities across the resort throughout our stay. We're already planning our stay for next year!

Great mountain, just be sure you confirm where your unit is located as some are in great spots. Some are not.

Smuggs is the best value of all the northeast ski resorts. Yes, it needs some polishing, but it will only get better from here. Come and experience a real gem in a real VT location if you have never skied it!

Great family area. We totally enjoyed on vacation time at Smuggler’s Notch. This was our 2nd time there but the first time was over 36 years ago.

Smuggs exceeded every expectation. Hearing the kids and wife gasp as we approached their first mountain was so rewarding. The room had a great view of the mountain and the well stocked kitchen had us eating like royalty all week. The runs were great and allowed for some amazing family memories. The hot tub was in walking distance which was needed after a few long days on the mountain.

Smuggs has been a favorite winter vacation site for many years. The kids and grandkids love it and adults have plenty to do too. The condo at Falcons is great with the ski in-ski out feature and was very clean. Good place to teach little ones. The rental shop is helpful and allows you to switch out skiis and boards. All in all a very good experience.

Smugglers has been our yearly go to for the last 4 years. Just park your car and let them do all the driving. If you’re new to skiing or snowboarding, the ski and ride school has you covered. All the instructors are amazing and very helpful. My son especially loves Bryan D from the snowboard school!

We had a great first trip to Smuggs! The mountain conditions and grooming were top notch, lots of fun runs off Madonna & Sterling. The Treasures daycare center let us enjoy 2 full ski days knowing that our toddler was well cared for. She loved her teachers and didn't want to leave! Food at Hearth & Candle was delicious and the whole place is very family friendly. 1 bedroom condo was very spacious. There is an app to call the shuttle on demand which was super helpful too. Overall a really easy, fun long weekend.

The Staff is great! Smuggs provides a wonderful family experience. Check in and check out was smooth. We stayed in Liftside, which was an easy walk to the Morse Lifts and the Village Center. The shuttle bus took us around to the fun zone and the pool, but they were close enough we could have easily walked. We took advantage of the ski school-excellent instructors. Overall, we had a great trip.
