good place great bed and neflix tv but a complete rip off in price there just 1 bedroom apartments and your charging 130 aud or so a night. so $1000 week your making from something that rents for 300 week in new castle. There is no service at all ! big restictions on tiny spa outside . this place would be perfect if the price was half , this place is terrible value for australia, pick another place. if you have 4 people then its good 2 people can sleep on sofa which works but $130 for self check in cabin is pushing it even if they are good and clean.

Room spotless clean and perfect for the stay.hotwater and heater works perfect in 238 as it the weather did drop early in the morning for the heater to go on just to get the heat flowing in the room. Comfy enough bed with decent pillows. For travellers who havent been here before..shops are about a 5 minute walj through the park eg: coles maccas aldi pubs ect.otherwise 2 shell express a few mins walk up the main drag,tho.onsite has vending machines for lollies noodles sodas ect. We were looking for a no fuss functional hotel for 1 night so as we could access the sporting stadium,near by. We didn't expect the nova tel but ,on acquiring our room we immediately had issues with no switch or remote to turn the fan off/on and no lights. We then acquired the remote but it didn't work. It took 2 attempts to finally get the remote to work. We then also noticed that the ceiling had a water leak, as it was raining that day. It was consistently dripping onto the carpet at the foot of the bed,we complained about the leak,they couldn't change our room and basically there was nothing they could do. We had to endure that painfully all night. When we booked the hotel on line ,it was booked at the online price of $85.00 but we were charged $95.00 .Unfortunately I didn't check the bill till after we left,which was early in the morning so I couldn't talk to anyone over it. Over all quite disappointing

I have visited the Shortland hotel for a few times now, the food is consistently good and great value. The meals are satisfying with a great variety offering great pub meals but also a modern dishes pleasing all tastes. Service has been consistently friendly. Would recommend a visit if you enjoy awesome food.

Conveniently located for our purposes, the apartment was clean and well appointed. Easy access, secure parking, all amenities including laundry and kitchen items provided. Secure garage parking was a plus, but very tight to get into with anything more than a small vehicle. Strict rules on numbers, noise and parties, but for us this was a plus as it meant a quiet and restful stay.
