Yundu Shaxi Courtyard

The courtyard is very quiet and comfortable, the location is excellent, and the bedding is also great. The breakfast deserves the most praise, with both Chinese and Western options available, and it's all very refined. To the left of the main entrance, there's a famous flower cake shop. I'll definitely visit again if I have the chance!

The environment is great, with only a few rooms and a courtyard. The service is excellent. Both the Chinese and Western breakfasts are rich and delicious, and so is the afternoon tea. The only downside is that the rooms aren't soundproof. The elderly couple next door started having the butler remind us to speak more softly as early as 9 PM.

First off, the location is fantastic, right in the center of the ancient town. It's super convenient for everything, whether you're going to Chu Jian Shaxi for a meal, taking photos at Yujin Bridge, or just exploring the bustling town. Secondly, the hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. The breakfast and the evening dessert feel homemade, a really nice touch. If you're driving, don't let the people at the village entrance stop you. Just tell them you're staying at Yun Du, and you can drive your car right up to the visitor center, which makes things much easier.

A serene guesthouse recommendation in Shaxi. I blindly picked this guesthouse, having previously stayed in a slightly out-of-the-way place called 'Windy House.' So this time, I was determined to find somewhere close to town for easy access, and I was certainly pleased. The location is its biggest advantage; you can just stroll out the door. There are also many eateries and small shops in the alleys, so you won't get bored. Restaurants and bakeries are all within reach. Ambiance. The elegant and quiet style perfectly matches the owner's temperament. The facilities are complete. My family stayed on the second floor, with two adjacent rooms in a large suite that included an outdoor balcony. If you're relaxing at the guesthouse and the weather is good, having tea and watching the fish on the first floor is quite pleasant. Food. Breakfast preferences are usually confirmed a day in advance. The Chinese option includes rice noodles, steamed buns, and soy milk, while the Western option offers salad, toast, and coffee. I tried both during my two-day stay, and there was nothing to fault; both the portion sizes and ingredient quality met high standards. Before leaving, I complimented the guesthouse's lovely scent, and the owner generously gifted me some special incense sticks. Such small details really touched my heart. Thank you. Objectively speaking, my family and I gave high marks for quality, price, location, and living comfort. I hope to recommend it to friends visiting Shaxi, to bring them a pleasant trip.

This courtyard is incredibly cozy, and the common areas are equally comfortable. During the day, I loved sitting in the courtyard, watching the fish, and enjoying the breeze – it was so relaxing. On our first day, my wife had gastroenteritis and needed an IV in Jianchuan. The front desk attendant waited up for us until 2 AM, worried about our return. She even arranged for her husband to stay awake, ready to pick us up at any time. They were absolutely wonderful! We're so grateful! A well-deserved five-star rating! I hope we get a chance to visit again!

Facilities: Well-equipped. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: Very quiet, with a beautiful courtyard view where you can relax and sunbathe. Service: The reception was very welcoming and attentive. They proactively provided us with fish food to feed the fish, and also offered breakfast and afternoon tea, which tasted great.

Really liked the room. It was very quiet, and the staff were all soft-spoken, polite, and answered all our questions. Would definitely go back.
