On the morning of July 14, 2024, I flew from Shanghai Hongqiao to Sanyi Airport in Lijiang, and met up with two friends who had driven all the way from Guangzhou. After they picked me up at the airport, they drove 40 minutes straight to the B&B in Lijiang to drop off my luggage. In the afternoon, we visited Baisha Ancient Town in Lijiang, and in the evening we went to Lijiang Ancient Town near the B&B. The next morning, I drove straight from Lijiang to the Three Dogs B&B in Shaxi. Next is the most amazing part of this trip. We drove an hour and a half from Lijiang to Shaxi Three Dogs B&B. The owner and his wife of the B&B welcomed us at the door. They very enthusiastically helped us carry our luggage into the B&B room and informed us of the location of the nearby parking lot. Knock on the blackboard, this is a pet-friendly B&B. Friends who travel with cats and dogs must experience this B&B. Because a friend from Guangzhou brought a little black Shiba Inu, they chose to drive all the way to Yunnan with the dog instead of taking a plane. During the day we walked around Shaxi Ancient Town and had some fun, and in the evening we went back to the B&B to continue some fun. Knocking on the blackboard again, Shaxi Three Dogs B&B has a public kitchen open to guests. Every day we buy various mushrooms (green mushrooms, porcini mushrooms, green conch mushrooms, etc.) at the stalls of local aunts. etc.) Go back to the B&B and cook it yourself (Picture 8-11). Here is a reminder for friends who want to fry their own mushrooms. Poisonous mushrooms (such as green mushrooms and porcini mushrooms) must be fried for 15-20 minutes or oiled for 15-20 minutes. Because the weather in Shaxi is so comfortable and cool every day (you need to wear a thin sweater in the morning and evening), I originally booked a flight back to Shanghai on the 19th, but now I have changed my booking and postponed my return to the 22nd. I usually try to avoid booking B&Bs when I travel, because compared to hotels, the facilities and services in B&Bs are not so standardized, and you will always encounter some problems, and it is difficult to have correct expectations for B&Bs. But precisely because it is not so standardized, if you can find a good B&B, your travel experience will have some unexpected surprises. I booked the Three Dog Inn because I was attracted by the interesting name. When I arrived at the inn, I discovered that there was only one dog, hahaha. So where are the other two? At the Three Dog Inn, I received good care from Xiao Min and Kevin, met new snow friends, ate mushrooms fried by the chef who was also a resident, and fought a bloody battle with my hands.
