Shuao · Xunshan Yiye RURAL LIFE Vacation Apartment (Shaxi Ancient Town)

I enjoyed my stay a lot at the hotel. It is only a few years old. The courtyard is amazing with the pond with fish and gorgeous water lilies. All the staff were attentive and helpful. They helped me get a shared taxi to my next destination. I stayed there on a marketday too, on a Friday. The market is just up the road from the hotel - a ten-minute walk. I was at the market early (too early, about 8:30) and they were still setting up. I drank it all in though and walked up and down about 4 times until noon. The hotel is not in the ancient town itself but about 20 minutes away on foot. The hotel owner has a kind of golf cart and can drive guests up and down. The town of Shaxi is delightful with its beautiful square and streets. Worth staying more than one night. I also went to the Buddhist caves at Shibaoshan this is about 30 minutes away.

Beautiful rooms around a stunning carp pool . The rooms themselves are extremely spacious light and comfortable . Shu'ao Xunshan was the most helpful and gracious host helped us arrange transport for ourselves and our bikes to Tiger leaping garage and was generally attentive and helpful and a great communicator throughout our stay.
