Jinmao Grandee Hotel Jiangyin Chengfa

I'm from Jiangyin and was bored, so I decided to stay in a hotel in Jiangyin for a whole day and order takeout. I have two main suggestions for improvement for the hotel, whether they choose to listen or not. First, to check in, you have to take the elevator from the underground parking to the first floor, then switch elevators to the 38th floor lobby, and then switch again to your room on the 50th floor. I don't mind the elevator transfers, and I don't blame them for not having robots deliver takeout. However, there's a staffed concierge on the first floor, very close to the elevators that go to the 38th floor, but they absolutely refused to help send my takeout up to the 38th floor. Second, the double afternoon tea set is really only good for photos. It's all overly sweet mousse. Even some cheap bread or scones would have been better. I won't complain about other minor issues.

Feeling like I was on cloud nine! The view of the Yangtze River was incredible. The hotel staff, especially at the front desk, were all very welcoming and helpful. The bathroom has a sliding door partition, which makes it feel much brighter when open. However, it can't be locked, so keep that in mind if it's something that bothers you. The cocktails at the hotel restaurant were also fantastic.

Overall, the stay was excellent. The hotel environment was clean and tidy, and the high floor offered a great view. The staff proactively contacted us by phone, providing attentive service. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the afternoon tea was substantial – just remember to book it half an hour in advance. The only minor drawback was the slow dinner service, which required multiple reminders before the food arrived. The hotel boasts a 25-meter standard swimming pool and a spa/massage pool, so the recreational facilities are very well-equipped. All in all, it's highly recommended.

Location: A landmark building with panoramic city views, which is a big plus. Facilities: Decent. Hygiene: Quite clean. Service: The management details aren't quite 5-star standard, and the value for money on the food isn't great.

The hotel is 56 floors high, and watching the sunset from the 55th floor was beautiful. A minor detail: the exterior windows could use a wash. However, I can understand that cleaning might be expensive due to the height. On a warmer note, Ms. Zhang, a lovely and dedicated manager from the reception team, enthusiastically assisted me, a customer who booked through Ctrip. The downside: As someone who appreciates a good and healthy lifestyle, I was disappointed by the breakfast. For a room rate of 1062, which included breakfast for two, the actual breakfast felt less than basic, certainly not worth even ten yuan. The lettuce was black, the millet porridge was watery (and not the premium kind from Mizhi), and the overall dishes showed a lack of effort and care from the head chef. Perhaps the importance of breakfast, especially for people on the go and enduring a fast-paced life, was overlooked. Food is paramount... a truly heartfelt and loving breakfast, like all meals, should reflect genuine care. This might be due to it being a state-owned enterprise where employees might just go through the motions, so attention to detail isn't a high priority. It's only because of the sunset view and Ms. Zhang's excellent service that I'm not leaving a negative review. The breakfast truly pales in comparison to even budget hotels like HUAZHU or JI Hotel; the impressive hardware is the only saving grace here.

The environment is great; it's a newly opened hotel, so everything feels fresh and new. It's very clean, and the service is good. The breakfast is also quite rich. I'd definitely recommend it, and I'll choose to stay here again next time.

This newly opened hotel is impeccable, from the ambiance and decor to the cleanliness; there's no new-renovation smell in the rooms. The 270-degree panoramic view from the high floor is truly stunning, offering a sweeping vista of the city. With no taller buildings around, it feels private yet open, making it ideal for couples. The hotel's amenities are also excellent, including a gym, a swimming pool, and free parking. Plus, it has an ideal Supercharger station, which is very convenient for self-driving guests and EV owners.
