Jiayuguan Midway Hotel

I booked two rooms. In the first room, as soon as we entered, there were two long hairs hanging by the sink faucet! Since we checked in very late, my husband and eldest child were busy resting, so I didn't pay attention to other areas. I took my younger child to our room, and right at the entrance, there was a lot of long hair. Then I looked further and saw that the entire floor was covered in long hair that had been matted to the floor after mopping! There was also some scattered trash! You'd only miss it if you *really* weren't looking!

This hotel in Jiayuguan city really exceeded my expectations for my self-driving trip to the Northwest. It's super easy to find, not far off the highway, and there are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Getting to the Jiayuguan Fort scenic area only takes about fifteen minutes by car, with no detours needed. When checking in, the front desk attendant was very quick and even took the initiative to tell us about local sightseeing tips, reminding us to visit the attractions during off-peak hours, which was very thoughtful. Once we entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised. The space was much larger than we expected, the bedding was clean and soft, and the bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation. The hot water came quickly and had strong pressure, and there were even thoughtful USB charging ports on the nightstand. The attention to detail was really impressive.

The room is good and offers great value for money, but why are there two bottles of shower gel in the bathroom and no shampoo? Also, the room attendant is not good. For two consecutive days, they gently knocked on the door around noon and then directly entered the room. Doesn't the housekeeping supervisor know the room status? You shouldn't just open the door and come in if the guest hasn't checked out yet.

The room isn't huge but it's clean and tidy. The location is easy to find, and there's parking available. The doorman was very helpful and assisted us in finding a parking spot. The front desk staff were also enthusiastic and gave us recommendations for breakfast places. Overall, very satisfied.

There are also many dining options nearby; I tried Jiayuguan's famous BBQ, and it truly lived up to its reputation!

Traveling on a business trip with a friend, we booked this hotel. I called the front desk to ask about parking, and it turns out they have free parking right in front of the hotel! Plus, there's an elevator. The service was excellent; they patiently explained directions and how to get to places we wanted to go. The hotel environment is great, the rooms are clean and bright, and the facilities are complete and modern. The price was also very reasonable – highly recommend.

I stopped over in Jiayuguan and just randomly searched for a hotel online, and this one popped up. When I got out of the station, I thought I'd have to take a taxi, but I called the front desk and they said I could just walk. Turns out it was really close, didn't take long to walk over at all. When I checked in, both the front desk staff and the security guard were very polite. They even directed me to the elevator since I had luggage. Once I got upstairs and opened the room, I was immediately impressed. The bed was super comfortable and spacious. You could open the window and see the view outside. There was also air conditioning, so the room wasn't stuffy at all. All the facilities were new. Overall, it was definitely the best choice for an overnight stay. Great value for money, not too expensive. I'll stay here again next time I'm in town.
