Staying at this hotel was a great experience. The facilities are excellent, and the bedding and toiletries are all from well-known brands – the Lux shower gel and shampoo smell amazing! The service was also top-notch; they even gave us a fridge magnet as a souvenir when we checked out. The breakfast was delicious, and we received a welcome fruit platter upon arrival. The location is great, just a couple of hundred meters from Kuanhouli and Heihu Spring. The hotel staff are warm and attentive, and the welcome gift was a thoughtful touch. The service was great! They gave us complimentary fruit, a map, and a fan, and even some snacks when we checked out. The breakfast selection was also extensive, which was a plus. However, the room itself was a bit disappointing. Our family room was on the 6th floor, and it made us feel quite uncomfortable. The view outside was indescribable (and not in a good way), and the window was small. If we had known this, we definitely wouldn't have booked the family room; two separate single rooms would have been a much better option.

The hotel's location is great; turn right out the door and you're at the moat. A 20-minute walk along the river takes you to Quancheng Square, and you'll find famous springs like Black Tiger Spring along the way. In the mornings, you can see locals filling up bottles and containers with spring water. The front desk service could be improved; they seemed sluggish and didn't smile. On a road trip to Shanxi, we passed through Jinan. The hotel is located right by the moat, so we enjoyed a nice walk along the river after dinner, admiring the beautiful night views. Every time the hotel has a crayfish festival, I come to stay for a night. This time, I got upgraded to a suite, which was pretty nice. The room service staff, Gao Xiujuan and Zou Fufang, were great; they promptly brought extra water and blankets when requested.
