Johor Bahru Hotel Guide

Johor Bahru is located in southern Malaysia and faces Singapore across the sea. Because of its low prices, Singaporeans are known to flock to Johor Bahru for shopping and vacation on weekends and holidays. Since the opening of theme parks such as Legoland and Angry Birds Activity Park, it’s also a good place for foreign tourists to spend vacations and partake in family fun. If you ‘re looking for place that the whole family can enjoy, Johor Bahru should be the first choice for your next family travel destination.

Due to its location near the equator, Johor Bahru has an average annual temperature of 26-29°C. There is rain throughout the year and there are often showers and thunderstorms. The peak season (December-February), is at the end of the year when it’s time for winter vacation, Christmas, New Year, and the Spring Festival. Many tourists visit during that period so it is necessary to book transport services and Johor Bahru hotels in advance. The off-season (March-June) is rainy and humid with fewer visitors. If you’d prefer to avoid the crowds, it’s a good idea to travel during this period. From July to November, there are more visitors during Ramadan and Chinese National Week, but outside of these holidays, there are less crowds than during the year-end peak season.

Malaysia has a large number of ethnic groups and diverse religious beliefs. There are many festivals that are traditional religious festivals for various ethnic groups such as Chinese New Year, Vesak Festival, and Ramadan.
