We booked Europarc Kaatsheuval as we wanted somewhere close to Efteling .We stayed for a week in a Pavilion 4 chalet which was quite basic but was fine for our needs. The site itself has an indoor and outdoor pool although we didn’t use the outdoor pool as it was very cold. There’s a good range of other activities such as mini golf,an interactive football area,a gnome trail, bike and go karts for hire, kids play areas and a large sports field. The snack bar and grand cafe onsite were very reasonably priced and good portion sizes, the main negative is the onsite shop which has next to nothing in it and what it does have is expensive. There is however a lovely little fruit and vegetable farm shop right outside of the site entrance so we were able to get salads, milk, eggs etc in there. We don’t drive and there are no other grocery shops within walking distance. We visited Efteling on two days which was easy and cheap to get to by bus. Overall we enjoyed our time at Europarc Kaatsheuval and every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights end of August. We cycled past this site when we stayed at the nearby Marvilla Parc and thought we would give this ago. Site drive in check in was very quick and the team were super friendly and helpful. Site is fairly compact but easy to navigate and lots of kids play areas. We hired bikes ahead of arrival and these were inexpensive and straightforward to use. I booked a Berkel 4 as a last minute deal. We are Efteling annual pass holders so wanted somewhere close by as a base. I opted for basic accommodation because we were only planning on using it to sleep in. This was an error. Overall we were impressed with the lodge itself, the living space was good, comfortable chairs, well equipped kitchen and the beds were comfortable- I had to pay for the bedding as extra plus an additional fee to have the beds made up. We brought our own towels. Cleanliness wqs a bit hit and miss. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine and a lot of the glasses were dirty, but I do understand we are at the end of the season and these things happen. As the weather had been pretty average ahead of the stay I opted to not choose a portable air conditioner at an extra cost, and this was a mistake. I can accept accommodation without air conditioning, but to not install any provisions against mosquitos, no repellants, nets or screens, really is not acceptable. I should have clocked it when I noticed probably 20-30 squished mosquitos & bloodstains on the bedroom walls and floors. Obviously we are not the only people to have had the same experience. Despite the outdoor temperature being low twenties in the daytime and around 10c at night, it was impossible to cool the accommodation down at all without opening windows. We all used repellant but the mosquitos were just insane. Everyone of us checked out this morning with multiple bites and none of us are well rested at all. My 6 year daughter has some really bad bites on her feet and face and struggled to walk the day after which was distressing for all of us. It’s a shame because the rest of the trip was okay, and we liked the park but I would not consider coming back to this accommodation again, and I warn anyone staying in that category that even plug ins and deet will not help.

Avoid house type "Berkel 4" during the sunny months. There's a roof window without a curtain/ sunscreen, which turns the house into an incubator. I measured temperatures of up to 42°C at the end of the afternoon. We had to choose between sleeping in an oven or opening all windows and doors in the evening and being eaten by the mosquitoes. We chose the latter and I counted an average of 30 fresh bites per night. My son who's allergic to mosquito bites even needed medical attention

Had a wonderful stay here in Kaatsheuvel. We cycled here from the hook of Holland and was welcomed with complimentary bats and balls. Our lodge was spotless and looked brand new with all sorts of unique touches. Comfy beds, although pillows were hard. We did pay extra for the welcome pack which meant we didn’t have to clean our room and bathroom supplies including towels were provided. The site was in a scenic, perfect location just a couple of miles away from Efteling. There was a steakhouse and main restaurant on site which sold delicious food for reasonable prices. Additionally, there was a mini golf, outdoor pool although it was unheated and you could hire bikes, scooters etc… I think there’s an indoor pool but it was closed for refurbishment during our stay. There was a Lidl nearby which was perfect for supplies. All staff were really friendly and always happy to help. Overall, really nice lodge in a stunning location. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the future. I don’t know what the negative reviews are going on about since I can’t fault this place. Don’t know if it’s just been done up but everything looked brand new including the lodges. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This is our second EuroParcs stay (Zilverstrand summer 2024) We booked 4 nights here as we planned to visit Efteling 1 of the days. The park facilities are great for kids, playgrounds are amazing, up keep beyond anything we've seen elsewhere. Gnome walk and scavenger hunts a great way to pass time. Unfortunately the indoor pool is being renovated, so can't comment on that. But expect it to be up to a high standard once completed. We stayed in the kids room with bunk beds (and a Nintendo switch!). Rooms are spacious, and in its own fenced area with a little communal playground in the middle visible from your living room. Would recommend to family and friends to visit.

The pools were both shut and so our children, particularly 2 teenagers, were quite bored as the other range of activities are very limited. My sons liked the football cage but my teenage daughter found it very boring as the only Activities on offer are for younger children. We paid a lot of money each day to go out to places to remain occupied so the £1250+ that we paid for the accommodation was very expensive as little was included. The WiFi was very poor and kept cutting out or buffing. The shop was very basic and could not buy many things so we visited the local Jumbo or Aldi which are a 5 minute drive away. Jumbo is expensive! No hand soap provided in the home or in the shop. The indoor play area is small and only suitable for younger children. We had 2 teenagers with us who were very bored on the days we stayed at the park. The accommodation 4x4 was lovely and very well presented. However, the deluxe package of €173 which we paid in addition was very overpriced. As we had to pay an extra €69 for bedding even though the €173 included beds being made, you can’t make beds without having bedding, so it is normal to assume that bedding would be included. The starter package included 2 dishwasher tablets, a tiny bottle of washing up liquid, shampoo and conditioner but we were a family of 6 so it lasted 1 day. It did include 6 coffee pods but only 2 tea bags. We left the park on the lazy checkout so this was beneficial as we didn’t have to worry about cleaning or emptying bins etc. However, we can get this at many other Eurocamps which have much better facilities and activities on offer. We won’t return to this parc and much prefer Eurocamps, the accommodation may not be a luxurious at Eurocamps but facilities on the ones we have visited have been better and more suited to families with different aged children. We are foster carers and have children aged 7,8,12 and 13 and this park wasn’t suitable for the teenagers.

Fantastic first experience of a EuroParcs with the family. Beautiful lodges, Just Nature 4 superb by the pond. Good food. Expensive drinks. Great location for De Efteling & sand dunes. No AC in our lodge main regret of trip. Friendly helpful staff.

I visited Europarks with mt family and found the park and accommodation to be good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our experience was spoiled, however, by the poor quality of the leisure facilities. The main indoor swimming pool was closed and the outdoor facilities were poor. Play areas and mini-golf were scruffy and did not appear to have been maintained. We felt that the site had not been prepared for early season visitors.

Sadly we have had a horrible experience with EuroParcs. We booked a last minute holiday 2 weeks from start date and then realised one of our passports was expiring in 2 weeks and you need 3 Months or more on your passport to travel from UK to EU. I have been trying to contact EuroParcs daily by email for the last 7 days and am not getting a response. I managed to bite the bullet and telephone them at £2.75 a minute and spoke to a man who said he could see the dates and he’d be happy to change them as could see it was a last minute reservation. He then went on to ask if could I call back tomorrow as his manager was unavailable to approve the change. I explained that it was very expensive to call their help line and was there another way to communicate. He said email would be fine. I have not heard from anyone on the last 5 days and their office is closed today. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY FOR LAST MINUTE TRIPS AS THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT IF YOU NEED TO REVISE YOUR LISTING. WE ARE NOW OUT £600.
