My stay at the Kaikōura Luxury Apartment was absolutely incredible! The apartment itself is beautifully designed with modern, high-end finishes and offers stunning views of the coastline. The whole family of 5 adults and 1 child stayed here. We were very satisfied with the whole stay. The 3 bathrooms were very convenient and the kitchen facilities were complete. The only thing we were not satisfied with was that we selected 5 adults and 1 child on the app, but the order sent to the merchant was for 5 adults without the child, which resulted in an extra 2 nights for the child, a total of $71

It's just a stone's throw away from the seaside. You can admire the snow-capped mountains and the sea from the balcony. It's located next to the only main road in the town. It's not far from the park and supermarket. The environment is very comfortable. The room is clean and tidy. You need to go to the reception desk of the hotel next door. After taking the key, the car was parked in the corresponding parking space downstairs, but cooking seafood was not allowed in the room for fear of too much smell!

The hotel facilities are very good and new. It is within walking distance to the town or pier hotel. The lobster at Strawberry Tree is very expensive. After I told the owner about it, he looked embarrassed and strongly did not recommend it.

We stayed here for 3 nights - arriving via coach from Picton. It was a 10 minute walk to the villa's- which we just about managed with our suitcases - but some may wish to pre-book a taxi or shuttle. The villa is stunning: beautifully furnished - with absolutely everything you could need during your stay. The balcony - with views of the sea & mountains - was perfect for both meals & drinks. 3 days was way too short a stay! We didn't have a car/transport - and discovered it was quite a long (20/25 minute walk) to the nearest convenience store & a bit further to a liquor store. The main supermarket (New world) really needs transport to get to. As we were only there for 3 days - we managed - but some may wish to arrange a taxi from reception if needing to stock up for a longer stay (which we did to get us to our whale watching experience). Also - to walk to the cluster of restaurants was also a 8-10 minute walk. A fabulous place in a tranquil location. Highly recommended.
