Elysian Luxury Hotel and Spa

Excellent service, but I suggest you rethink the spa pool policy in the low season. The outside pool was closed for the winter, and no point in booking a more expensive room with an attached private pool (unheated), which leaves the downstairs spa pool. Charging guests to use this for 45-minute sessions meant the pool was empty and unavailable for a spontaneous dip. Perhaps instead, you can allow a limited number of guests to use the pool at any one time. Location: There's a well-lit path into town, but it's a LONG walk. The hotel was very helpful in arranging a taxi. Breakfast was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive.

A beautiful hotel with vast spaces for only 36 rooms. We had a room below the pool area which had a huge balcony and was very nice. We heard no noise at all. It would have been nice to have received complimentary water instead of charging a euro from the mini bar. Breakfast was great with a huge choice and lovely friendly staff. We chose not to eat in the hotel as it was expensive and also a very broad Mediterranean menu not Greek . However the food was popular and looked good. Kalamata was a ten minute taxi ride which was around ten euros. We flew from Athens and it was an easy 2.5 hour drive along the toll road which was virtually empty once out of Athens. It was unfortunate that during our stay there was a family of three couples with two children each which seemed to take over the pool area and make a lot of noise. I really think that this hotel would work better as an adult only boutique hotel. That isn’t of course the hotels fault so have rated five stars.

We've just got back from the beautiful hotel, We stayed in room 115 which had the private pool , the room was quite big, with a massive soft bed might be too soft for some as I took us a couple of night to get use to it , we both slept really well and woke up very relaxed, there is also a small fridge , table, with a kettle, you also got tea, coffee, sugar ect, also a mirror on (in) the table, 2 spacious wardrobes, (one had a safe in ) the bathroom area had a shower, (quite small ) a bath which also had an over bath shower, the sink area was quite small, not many places to put your toiletries on, but the whole room was extremely clean, we had a ”garden view” room, not much of a garden tbh, a ***** of grass (that needed cutting ) a tree and a couple of hedges, next to a fence which separated us from the next door hotel (which at times was quite noisy if you were sitting out) there was 2 sun loungers, 2 chairs and a table, and a small plunge pool, not heated, but very nice after spending all day at the beach in +30° . The pool area was big with plenty of sun loungers and a covered area (we didn't spend much time at the pool area) there was a pool bar (where you go and get your beach towels ) which was well stocked and the staff were amazing, so friendly, nothing was too much for them, and they always greeted you with a smile, just cross the road was the beach (pebbley not sandy ) again plenty of sun beds, there was a waiter there who would bring you drinks, food ect, also very friendly. The reception area was beautiful and very clean. The receptionist always greeted you with a smile and were very warm and welcoming. The cleaners work very hard and are an absolute credit to this hotel. Breakfast. There was a good choice, breads, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, ham, eggs, sausage, ect ,the *hot food * was not hot and sat in warming trays , but I did get used to it, the Breakfast was the same every day, The coffee was nice, and again the the breakfast staff were lovely. This hotel was great we have come back home feeling very relaxed and chilled. The only Negative was the cold breakfast,
