🌊 WeBase Kamakura is a modern resort hotel nestled in the historic city of Kamakura, just a stone's throw from Yuigahama Beach and the train station. It perfectly blends the convenience of a travel hub with the serene atmosphere of a seaside getaway. 🛏️ The rooms are bright and contemporary, featuring well-thought-out layouts and comfortable beds. The understated interior design creates a sense of lightness and order. 🔥 One of the hotel's strongest features is the public bath, where you can unwind after exploring the city and recharge your batteries. The sauna, with its self-löyly function, offers a truly authentic spa experience. 🍳 Breakfast at WeBase Kamakura isn't just a buffet; it's an opportunity to savor freshly prepared dishes like galettes and seafood breakfasts made with local ingredients, setting the tone for a leisurely start to your seaside day. Interestingly, the snacks and desserts were different on the second day. 🎨 A striking feature of the hotel is the art installation, “SHIP’S CAT” (シップスキャット), located on the WeBase Kamakura terrace. This giant cat sculpture was created by the renowned contemporary Japanese artist, Kenji Yanobe. ☕ The common areas, including the lounge and club zone, provide a relaxing space between excursions. I booked both a double room and a twin room at the same time, and I realized I accidentally uploaded the photos in reverse... The hotel is split into two wings; one has an elevator and the other doesn't. Luckily, I booked the wing with the elevator for my elderly family member with mobility issues this time, otherwise, I don't know what we would have done. The wing without an elevator has quite a few stairs, which would be a nightmare if you had heavy luggage.

Every dish served in the lounge was delicious. Breakfast was also very colorful and vibrant, which made for a pleasant start to the day.
