"We really liked the hostel! We stayed for 5 nights and had a private room on the 4th floor. The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Kamakura Station. The rooms are clean. There's an outdoor terrace and access to the rooftop, where you can dine with a great view. The staff is very friendly."

Pension Green Grass

"The location is tucked away in a secluded residential area, so it was difficult to find even with Google Maps. It says there is a parking lot, but that is incorrect information. When you bring a car, the neighbors seem to give you dirty looks even when you are just briefly unloading luggage. The facilities were old and looked unappealing, and the rooms were worn out with messy, tangled electrical wires. The stairs leading up to the rooms are too steep and dangerous, making it difficult to move luggage. There also seem to be hardly any restaurants nearby. It would be best to understand this place as a run-down guesthouse rather than a pension. I do not want to go back. It was a very difficult time, and I even received complaints from my companions."

"A bit far from the station and shops, but close to the beach. A beautiful old building with everything you need. The door closes at 23.00 and there is no combination lock, so you can’t be late and it’s inconvenient. I don’t like the staff, they are unfriendly compared to other places in Japan."

"I loved Seaside Manor. The staff were wonderfully gentle, kind, and polite. The breakfast was exquisitely prepared and delicious. The rooms, though they showed their age, were meticulously clean and well-kept. Its location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk from Yuigahama Station on the Enoden Line, making it extremely convenient."

"Everything was perfect! Conveniently located, both from the Enoden Line train station and the sea. The sea is a 1-minute walk away, and the train station is a 5-minute walk away. The room has everything you need, including umbrellas for rain and sun, and backpacks with a thermos for hiking. The attention to detail goes beyond a standard hotel. Our host, Toshi, is always willing to help, which is especially nice."

"Having been to Kamakura many times, I always felt that the beachfront lacked a good hotel. The Prince was nice, but it was old, and with so many guests it wasn't very quiet, and it wasn't close enough to the beach. The AO completely filled that void; it's everything a boutique beachfront hotel should be, and it even has a fantastic restaurant!"
