★★★ 9.3 (278 reviews)

"The hotel is very close to the station, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making it convenient to visit Kamakura and Hakone. The room was standard, and breakfast was a set meal from the coffee shop. Overall, I recommend it."

Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura

Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura

📍 1 Chome-8-1 Komachi, Kamakura
★★★★ 9.6 (758 reviews)

"The hotel's location is excellent and it is only a 5 minute walk from the Kamakura train station. The entrance is a bit difficult to find since the hotel reception is on the 1st floor and one has to ting the bell outside the door on the ground floor entrance to gain access to the hotel reception by elevator. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is on the ground floor Muji restaurant inside a Muji shop, Breakfast service stops at 10am. There is not a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet but there is adequate selection to choose from. The rooms are cleaned daily with a change of towels and sheets. I am happy with the hotel the only downside is the size of the room that I find is a bit small for 3 persons."

Tosei Hotel Cocone Kamakura

Tosei Hotel Cocone Kamakura

📍 7-10-1 Onarimachi, Kamakura
★★★★ 9.2 (390 reviews)

"The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The public bath was large and relaxing. There is no convenience store nearby - you need to walk towards the station to visit the closest (Family Mart) which takes about 5mins one way. There were 2 things that bothered me: 1. Position of TV. You can’t be on the bed to watch as you cannot turn the TV towards the bed. 2. There were 2 chairs and a table and the height of the table and the part you sit on the chair was same. Therefore I had to bend so much to reach down to eat which was quite frustrating"

Kamakura Rakuan Hotels in Kamakura

"Excellent traditional accommodation! The house is very spacious, with plenty of room; you walk on tatami mats and sleep on futons. The host was truly helpful and kind, and brought us a traditional breakfast at the time we requested. Bicycles are also available for rent for a longer tour along the coast. The location is excellent and strategic for visiting the city, right next to Hase Station but in a quiet, residential area. If I really had to point out one thing, it would be that, given that it's a traditional accommodation, even turning off the air conditioning upstairs in August made it far too hot. I'd improve this if possible. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!"

Kamakura Seaview Guesthouse Sun & Breeze Hotels in Kamakura

Kamakura Seaview Guesthouse Sun & Breeze

"The location is good, very close to the sea. It's a five-minute walk to Lawson and the ramen shop. Half of the view can see the sea. The room has a bit of a musty smell."

Ohmachi Junxion Hotels in Kamakura

Ohmachi Junxion

"The positives: - The location next to the train station is very convenient. - The price. - The manager gave us good advice for our stay. The negatives: - We arrived around 11:00 AM because the listing mentioned luggage storage. Upon arrival, the manager had us pay and leave our luggage in the room, but we had to come back before 6:00 PM just to get the key, and we didn't really understand why. As a result, we had to cut our visit to Kamakura short. - Besides a shared shower and toilet, they aren't heated, which is a bit chilly in winter. In the bathroom, there's even a gap between the window and the wall… - The room is functional, but the bedding is completely inadequate since the mattress cover wasn't actually a cover. We were therefore sleeping directly on the mattress (see photo). It seems to me that covering a mattress with a cover is basic hotel practice. - The curtain doesn't block out any light at all, and the road remains quite noisy, even at night, with a fair amount of traffic. - Overall, the entire setup is makeshift and wobbly."

"We really liked the hostel! We stayed for 5 nights and had a private room on the 4th floor. The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Kamakura Station. The rooms are clean. There's an outdoor terrace and access to the rooftop, where you can dine with a great view. The staff is very friendly."

Pension Green Grass Hotels in Kamakura

Pension Green Grass

"The location is tucked away in a secluded residential area, so it was difficult to find even with Google Maps. It says there is a parking lot, but that is incorrect information. When you bring a car, the neighbors seem to give you dirty looks even when you are just briefly unloading luggage. The facilities were old and looked unappealing, and the rooms were worn out with messy, tangled electrical wires. The stairs leading up to the rooms are too steep and dangerous, making it difficult to move luggage. There also seem to be hardly any restaurants nearby. It would be best to understand this place as a run-down guesthouse rather than a pension. I do not want to go back. It was a very difficult time, and I even received complaints from my companions."

Guest House Kamejikan -Turtle Time- Hotels in Kamakura

Guest House Kamejikan -Turtle Time-

"A bit far from the station and shops, but close to the beach. A beautiful old building with everything you need. The door closes at 23.00 and there is no combination lock, so you can’t be late and it’s inconvenient. I don’t like the staff, they are unfriendly compared to other places in Japan."

Kaihinsou Kamakura Hotels in Kamakura

"I loved Seaside Manor. The staff were wonderfully gentle, kind, and polite. The breakfast was exquisitely prepared and delicious. The rooms, though they showed their age, were meticulously clean and well-kept. Its location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk from Yuigahama Station on the Enoden Line, making it extremely convenient."

Kamakura Prince Hotel ★★★★
"For a high-end hotel in Kamakura, the location is excellent, the service is great, and the facilities are very comprehensive. The free rooftop terrace offers fantastic views, and there's a swimming pool. The only drawback is that the slanted elevator going up the hill on the first floor is too hidden; you'd never find it if the front desk didn't tell you about it."

"There is 2 Sotetsu Fresa Inn hotel on the same area, I was search from google map and went to the wrong one but the hotel receptionist was explain clearly how I get to the correct hotel. This hotel was close to Ofuna station south entrance and opposite is a shopping mall. And you can collect any amenities you needed from the hotel lobby even face mask. This is thoughtful services and makes my first night on Japan is so happy."

Tosei Hotel Cocone Kamakura ★★★★
"It is located in small road and by 4pm you cannot drive on that road so best to check in 3pm. The hotel has parking lots chargeable 1,900 yen per entry till next day 1pm. I didnt use the car once parked and mostly walk around komachi street it is like 8 mins walk. So i am unsure if it allows multiple entries of the car park. Check in smooth, 3pm dropped off bags in room. Went exploring. It has coffee machine to use and public onsen. Similar to onyado but this does not have the ice creams or ramen. But as after heavy walking day, dipping in hot pool and relax is awesome. I stayed in double bunk bed and space was huge. Had a bath tub in shower and separate toilet bowl to allow diff ppl using for diff purpose for getting ready. That day early june typhoon was incoming so it was a rainy day. Was able to borrow an umbrella as car parking lot is about 5 mins walk. Also coffee machine is free to use, grab a coffee before leaving dor the day exploring Kamakura. Overall, really nice place to stay and near the station for those not driving."

"The hotel's exterior and the breakfast area on the first floor are absolutely stunning. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was incredibly exquisite and delicious. The location is also superb, less than a 5-minute walk from the station. The only minor downside is that the room was a bit dim, but the room design was quite beautiful, with a very artistic aesthetic."
