Reviews of Frontier Furanui Onsen

We stayed at Furanui one night for our stop to Fukiage onsen. The hotel is very “old-school” (in a good way) and authentic. They also have natural spring you can enjoy. The personnel was also very friendly. The only downside is that some amenities are quite old and noisy (fridge & heater). So if you’re a light sleeper you may want to use your earplugs. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Furanui :)

Room is spacious and clean but no bathroom and toilet, so not really suitable for families with kids. The onsen is super old, dirty and disgusting. Luckily the shared toilets are clean and not smelly.

This hotel was very comfortable, they have a great onsen! Good price. Location bit difficult to reach if you dont have a rental car

Onsen a bit crowded.

I visited this hotel because I want to try their natural Onsen. It is quite an interesting one because there is one at the 31 degree C and one at 40 degree C (with heated). There are onsen particles) at the lower temperature one but not the higher temperature one. The price includes breakfast and dinner, dinner was delicious and breakfast was quite basic. The hotel also serves as bath house so many local people visiting, too. Try use the onsen before 7 am if you want to avoid a crowded. There is a nice park near the hotel with is quite convenient.

I liked the traditional Japanese inn feel, and the inn had its own hot spring so I could use it comfortably. The breakfast was clean and good~ There was no bathroom in the tatami room, but I still had a good rest without any major problems. There was also a parking lot~

I always use this inn and it's a reliable one. I use it for hot springs during summer camping and for skiing in Furano in winter. It's good value for money and I recommend it, but I'm worried that it might become difficult to make a reservation, but it's a relaxing Showa-era inn and I like it.

There is free parking and there is a 24-hour convenience store nearby.

A very traditional Japanese hotel with tatami mats. Guests’ names will be written on the door to welcome them. The breakfast is good.

It's really not good
