HOTEL R9 The Yard Kamiichi

I had plans to visit Tateyama, so the location was very convenient. The light breakfast included made it excellent value for money. It was a shame that there were a lot of insects when I visited in summer, and it seemed like there weren't many measures taken to prevent them from entering the room.

The accommodation isn't far from the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (about 30 minutes away) and is quite affordable. The room is larger than typical Japanese rooms, newly built, modern, and free from any musty smells. Free parking is available right outside the room. The soundproofing in the room is excellent; I couldn't hear anyone else. There's a mountain view in the background. Check-in with the staff was smooth and the service was good. I received a coupon for a free frozen meal. The room has a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a kettle, a hairdryer, an air purifier, a lamp, and WiFi. In the common area, there's a coin-operated water dispenser and a washing machine. Across the street is a gas station, and diagonally opposite is a 24-hour MaxValue convenience store where many items are much cheaper (e.g., mineral water for less than 100 yen).

I drove to Toyama for a business trip and chose to stay at a motel. It was better than I expected; the room was clean and odor-free, the parking lot was large, and they provided free lunch boxes. There was a supermarket across the street. For a business trip, it was great value for money. 👍

The accommodation is convenient with an Aeon mall opposite. It uses a digital door lock system. There are staff in the room for check-in and check-out on time. The staff are helpful and speak English.

This is a pretty good motel, great for those driving. If I had a choice of a 1.5-meter double bed, I think this would be my first choice when driving, because parking is free and right outside the door. It would be even more perfect if there was a communal barbecue area! They thoughtfully provided two light meals, so breakfast was taken care of. Nice!

The room was surprisingly spacious, quiet, and I was able to park my car right next to it, which was very convenient.

We stayed here in order to use the Kurobe Alpine Route. It was very reasonably priced and we only needed a place to sleep, so it suited us perfectly.
