The room is very clean and tidy but the most enjoyable part is the public bath. You can get more than enough amenities. Everything is perfect but just need to aware of the arrival time. If you arrive late at night without advanced reservation for the in-room dinner, there will be no where to eat.

This was my first stay in about 5 years. I was glad they provided a welcome drink. The food was very satisfying. I especially liked the all-you-can-drink beer and sour drinks at dinner. I'd like to stay here again.

There was a sign in front of the bath saying that it was a little crowded, but it was not a little crowded at all, and the open-air bath was not even available. This inn's hot spring may not be large because of the small amount of water, but I was disappointed that it is not a famous inn and not a relaxing one. Also, the staff are also very different in their attitudes depending on the person, probably because there are many helpers on busy days. Like the bath, it felt like they were crammed with too many guests, and the operation was not running smoothly at all. Maybe because I was a guest with a cheap plan, some people were very unfriendly and condescending, which made me feel uncomfortable several times during my stay. I wanted to eat dinner slowly, so I paid extra to get a private room, but when I went to the dinner room, I was made to wait for about 10 minutes without any staff coming. They made the excuse that they were busy with other guests, but... Finally, dinner came out, but the moment it came out, there was a hair in it. They changed it right away, but I think that's not right. I often felt that the cleaning of the building was not thorough. We splurged on this place, but my family agreed that we won't be returning. It was a very disappointing stay.

Hospitality is absolutely wonderful. A lot of things of the ground of Yamagata came out, too. Of course, all of them are delicious. We also had delicious Yamagata local sake. I stayed overnight with my family. It was my first time here, but I was excited to visit as it is a well-established, famous inn that everyone knows about. When I arrived, I was overwhelmed by the grandeur of the building. The staff were very welcoming and guided me smoothly to my room. The room was a typical hot spring inn, but there were thoughtful touches such as a basket for the bath in the building. The toilets in the building were also elaborate. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. I also enjoyed the taro stew in season. One thing that is lacking is that the building is large so it is easy to get lost. If you are directionally challenged, be careful, but I think it will be fun even if you get lost.

Stayed in June and December. It was very comfortable and the service was good. There is a welcome drink on the first floor and you can drink coffee and juice freely. I took it back to my room and drank it slowly. The main dish for dinner was sukiyaki. The baths are on the 1st and 8th floors, and the men's and women's baths are alternated. You can see the Zao mountain range from the hot spring on the 8th floor. If you make a reservation from the hotel's official website, you can stay at the cheapest price and receive a gift certificate that can be used at the shop for 500 yen per person.

The service staff are mostly young, so they are not very attentive, but you can tell they are trying their best. The decorations in the building are excellent and are displayed everywhere.

Stayed in a Saryo Premium room with an open-air bath. For us with a 3-year-old child, eating in a private room at night and in the morning was really helpful.
