The hotel was in a quiet area near the city. Room was ok but I had to change it as it smelt of smoke. Hotel changed it without fuss which was good.
Food at the restaurant was good and authentic.
Enjoyed my stay and will return.

The room is very good. The environment is good. The bar is good and the service is attentive. I will go there again. The garden is beautiful. The front desk is very polite. It's really good. The location is good. The atmosphere is positive. It's really good.

I am a carnivore. Usually we get challenging orders. This time around I was served my Ms. Fortunate who recommended what I would say was my best meal this year. It was right to what I wanted and the source and the side dish were all excellent. The service was top notch after a whole day flight I felt to be at the right place.

I stayed two nights at the Sheraton for work. This rooms were spacious and clean. Though they are starting to be a bit dated. The bathroom was clean and a nice size shower. There were elevators to the rooms (I learned during my trip this would be the only hotel I stayed at that had elevators as others only did stairs). The staff were friendly and kind, especially Barnabus when we arrived. I also had communicated with them prior to our stay for transportation to the hotel from the airport and that went very smoothly.

Hands down the best hotel staff I have ever seen anywhere. The food is fantastic and surroundings are beautiful. My room was slightly noisy but from what I understand from others, it might have only been my room. The grounds are huge and extremely well kept. Great to walk around.

Staying one night for a gala function in the hotel grounds and enjoyed every minute of it. The beds are huge the room is very clean and comfortable. I had a room that was high and facing the gardens so was never disturbed by noise. The breakfast is amazing. Every staff member who works in the grounds is very professional but also warm and welcoming. There was always a smile on everyone's face. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

An iconic hotel beautifully situated in lovely gardens and with kind and friendly staff in typical Ugandan manner. The rooms although dates were ok as well. The gym also seemed fine. Those are the positives. The food - apart from breakfast which was good - was uniformly below average at really premium prices. The rooms only have a UK / Ugandan plug and one USB slot so you need an adapter for which you need to sign a deposit. The worst part of my stay was that I had the misfortune of staying in an even numbered room which faced onto the gardens and dining areas. This means that sleep before midnight is not really an option as the music from downstairs was very loud. There also seems to be a problem with the number of rooms had to service since my room was often not serviced in the day or I had a very apologetic staff member knocking on my door late afternoon or evening to service the room. In general I think there are better places to stay in Kampala. If you do stay her and would like to sleep - insist on an odd numbered room that faces away from party central and eat in one of the lovely restaurants Kampala has to offer - it truly is worth the Uber ride and the venture out.
