Victoria Cliff Resort is an absolute gem in the southernmost town in Myanmar. The Resort is about 4 miles from town on the west cliffs overlooking the water. There is a lovely view of the sunset from the dining area. The staff are top notch. Graceful, helpful, and knowledgable. I took a long tail boat over from Ranong, and the staff of VC messaged me where to meet the driver who took me directly here. Nice to not have to haggle with the taxi guys all lined up by the dock. The atmosphere is ridiculously pleasant. There is soothing music piped into the main area, and a cool breeze blows through the modern take on traditional Burmese architecture. I stayed in a bungalow by the koi pond, and it was spacious, quiet, clean and cozy. There are two pools, a gym, spa, bar, restaurtant, and a karaoke room. I spent afternoons in the upper pool overlooking the sea, and felt like a king. This evening one little sea plane flew over, and startled me. That's when I realized it's extra peaceful here with a welcomed lack of air traffic. If you want a high quality vacation not yet swamped with tourists, you can't ask for better than Victoria Cliff Resort.
