It's good to stay. Mr.Leng is very friendly.

As all the reviews say Mr.Leng is incredible! We have been travelling for a month and he is the most welcoming host we have come across. He serenaded us at sunset and joined us for part of the kayaking. The rooms are a little dated and the bed hard but good aircon, big bathroom & room and great food. A little out of town so would recommend a moped. Head down to the salt fields on fish island rather than paying for any tour, you are so close to genuine Cambodian life!

The best place I've stayed in my whole time traveling. I loved my time here so much, we kept extending our stay until we almost ran out of time on our visa. The owner Mr Leng is one of life's good people, making this stay 10/10, he's so generous with his time, tips, and he's bound to make you laugh everyday. This place has everything you need, from spacious bungalows, lovely breakfasts and on site motobike hire and fuel. Not to mention the free bicycle use to any guest and a tour for 1 dollar! Taking you to see the local communities and the salt fields. My girlfriend, brother and I will certainly be returning!

Best place I've stayed in Cambodia so far! The bungalows are perfect and Kampot is probably my favourite city I've seen in Cambodia so far. The Icing on the cake Mr Leng is a lovely welcoming host he has given us 2 tours for free and knows everywhere to go. We spent our last night drinking palm tree wine with him on the roof bar. Very lovely accommodation, in a very lovely city, hosted by a very lovely man!

We have stayed at Fish island bungalows several times! Our first visit was in 2019, and once the pandemic was over, we were so keen to revisit! My partner and I fell into the "Kampot hole" , largely influenced by the home from home feeling provided at Fish Island bungalows. We ended up staying for 4 weeks! When joined by family members a few months on, there was only one choice for where to stay in Kampot! The grounds are beautiful and you have the choice of staying in one of the wooden chalets bungalows or an air con room. Surrounded by beautiful grounds, it's great to spend an afternoon relaxing on your porch or hammock. There is now a beautiful rooftop terrace which is a must do for the best sunsets I've seen and a nice breeze during humid evenings! Mrs Leng is a fantastic cook and makes the best breakfast! Especially the home made jam that is one of a kind, with only Mr Leng knowing the secret recipe! Mr and Mrs Leng are genuinely nice and kind people and will go above and beyond. Highly recommend the sunset tour, to get a real feel and knowledge of the surrounding Fish Island. We also did the Kayak tour which was great fun! Thank you for everything and we will hopefully see you again soon! :)

When in Kampot I recommend staying at the Fish Island Bungalows owned and run by Mr Lee, his wife and family. The room rate is very affordable and the family are very generous towards their guests. Free bicycle rental too. I prefer staying at family owned places where the money stays in the community rather than foreign owned businesses where most of the cash goes offshore.

our stay here was wonderful! the bungalows were clean and cozy and in a location close to the city center but not chaotic. the owner and his wife were exceptional: they helped us organize our travels decided even at the last moment, he made us visit the famous salt pans at sunset and the pepper plantations with a sueer tour. When we had a problem, the owner immediately took steps to resolve it. also thanks to this stay, cambodia will remain in our hearts. absolutely recommended

We have been traveling for 3 months. We book highly rated reasonably-priced accommodations and have been mostly satisfied. Fish Island Bungalows is beautifully built with clean updated rooms and lovely gardens, but nobody will ever beat Mr Leng and his wonderful family. They make you feel like family and it is just such a wonderful surprise to meet people like this. They offer laundry services, breakfast, and a motorbike for a great value. We left to hugs and ripe mangos as a parting gift because our Vietnam visas were suddenly approved and we had to catch our transportation and they quickly thought of us not having a chance to eat for a while. This is a no-brainer. If there is a room available and you are coming to Kampot, book Fish Island Bungalows and know it’s a winner!
