The Modeva Hotel

The hotel is new and clean! The location is quiet, just a 10-minute walk from the train station, the night market, and the Bridge of the River Kwai (which the hotel provides free bikes). Big C is also nearby. I have to give a thumbs up to the front desk service and the Ctrip hotel butler service. Because I had misbooked my itinerary, I also booked the wrong time for my stay in Kanchanaburi. Upon discovering this, I immediately contacted the Ctrip hotel butler to see if they could postpone my check-in by one day. Although the negotiation ultimately failed, the hotel butler diligently tried to liaise with the hotel. Thank you so much! Also, the local front desk lady. When we arrived according to our original reservation, we were told it had been changed. Since neither of us spoke English fluently, I contacted the Ctrip hotel butler to communicate. The front desk lady was incredibly patient, explaining that we needed to change our room type because it was fully booked. I insisted on sticking with my original reservation. After a stalemate of over half an hour, the hotel finally resolved the issue, offering a free night's stay and compensating the price difference for the change. This service truly demonstrates the proactive approach to resolving issues. This is truly commendable!

We arrived late, but the overall experience was good. We wanted to stay longer, but there were no rooms available.
