Pugdundee Safaris - Kanha Earth Lodge

The trip to Kanha National Park has been our first experience to any wildlife sanctuary and we were wondering which place would suit us - considering that am scared of insects and always keen on cleanliness and ambience. Basis a number of reviews across ***y resorts around Kanha, we narrowed down Kanha Earth Lodge. And we are very happy that we chose this place - - The team at Kanha Earth Lodge is extremely professional and provide excellent hospitality - the rooms are spacious and beautiful with each and every detail being taken care of (Can you believe- they clean the room 3 times a day so as to ensure insects do not creep into the room as it’s located close to the forest) - Food is amazing and you will not have any complaints on the variety and quality of food (they believe in a balanced food that includes your protein, carb, fiber requirements). Also their food is completely organic. - The dining team took such good care of us that we felt as though we returned back to our grandparents home (where you are pampered and attended to every single minute) - the safari experience has been great - the naturalists have amazing knowledge of the forest and its habitants, vehicle is in great condition and we were lucky to spot the tigress in a very close proximity - They also have a great collection of documentaries to watch and a Naturalist stays with you and answers all your questions. It was a very good learning experience - Hospitality is top notch with each and detail taken care so that your stay is pleasant and home-like Overall a great experience, and now we have made up our mind to visit various National parks across Madhya Pradesh and the place that we will choose henceforth will be Pugdundee Safaris (wherever they are located) Thanks Harpreet and Team for making this a memorable experience and for changing our perspective towards nature and wildlife for good Special mention to ***ager - Harpreet Reservation desk - Ruchika (was always very patient to answer all our questions) Naturalists - Asu Khan (he is the one who took us on all safaris), Sashank ( for sharing real life experiences during the documentaries) Dining Team - Rajan, Gopal, Uday and ***y more who took care of our palettes Chefs - Saligram and Rohit Support Team - Akshay, Yeshwajit Thanks again and we will come back soon!!!

Our third Pugdundee lodge, and again a fantastic experience. Food was faultless again - if too much at each meal! Loved the quirky accommodation with a saloon style swing door to one bathroom area! Drives were again great with our naturalist Ashu and the guide as well. Some great views, wildlife and photos - and the social history of the park (in fact all of the parks) is fascinating.

Everything about our stay at Kanha Lodge was flawless. The accommodation is large, comfortable with all the amenities and facilities anyone would need. We did 4 Safari drives and the naturalist and guides were all brilliant; we not only saw tigers we also saw a sloth bear! The naturalist had a far better camera than mine so shared all his good shots so I could have clear pictures to add to my memories. All the staff were friendly, professional and efficient. The food was delicious with the chef took extra care to understand people's individual tastes and adjust his dishes accordingly. Everything about this place was superb.

We stayed at Kanha Earth Lodge on a recent trip to India. The Lodge is delightful: the buildings and interior design are beautiful and in keeping with the surroundings, with a lovely swimming pool and gardens. We had a gorgeous room with a very comfortable bed, a great bathroom with a fabulous shower and we really appreciated all the products being environmentally friendly. We also had a lovely private veran*** where we could sit and read in peace and quiet and this was much appreciated. The restaurant and relaxation areas are very good, the food was delicous and varied and the service outstanding. I particularly want to praise the service as my other half was unwell for a day during our visit (the illness was nothing to do with Kanha or indeed India) and the staff were so helpful and prepared to go the extra mile and this made a huge difference. We went on several jeep drives with a naturalist who worked for Pugdundee: these were amazing, we saw lots of incredible wildlife, including a breathtaking tiger sighting, and our naturalist Shawsham was very knowledgeable, a true expert and charming company. All in all, a marvellous stay and highly recommended.

Kanha Earth Lodge is a beautifully designed safari lodge near Kanha National Park. The rooms, here cottages, were beautiful and extremely clean . The Indian food was very tasty in a nice ambience and attentive staff. The safaris were breathtaking - we were lucky enough to watch tigers as well as slot bears.

Room was comfortable and roomy, two bathrooms, hot showers, coffee and tea in room. Nice lounge area, and presentations each night on the area and the wildlife. That was very informative and I learned quite a lot. It was a four hour ride to Kanha National park, and a chance to see the countryside ***** the way.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this superb eco-lodge located in a quiet area in the Kanha buffer zone. The overall design and layout, the public spaces, the grounds, the food and the amazingly helpful and friendly staff are all worth noting. Specific individuals who helped to make our stay particularly memorable are the chef, the bartender, the ***ager and the head biologist, Yash, who took us out on all five of our safaris. His knowledge of the park and its wildlife, as well as his good natured approach and eagerness to enhance our overall experience were nothing short of amazing. We saw an astonishing array of wildlife, including a once in a lifetime sighting of a large male tiger. We certainly feel blessed to have visited Kahna and have no hesitation in providing the Earth Lodge with a glowing recommendation. We certainly hope to return in the future.

Working with Pugdundee's office staff was so easy! They took care of everything and were amazingly responsive to requests for assistance while planning our group trip, including booking some extension trips to the Taj Mahal for a few members of our group. The lodge was wonderful and the staff were incredible. Our group had a lovely trip and we highly recommend working with Pugdundee when visiting India.

This was the second Pugdundee safari lodge we visited on our recent visit to India and the standard was high. The bungalow accommodation was very good and the whole site was well ***aged and maintained. The food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was what you personally wanted. We didn't use the pool but it looked fine. Our guide was very good and the safaris provided a good sample of wildlife, including a few tigers, although we weren't quite so lucky here as some of the other parks. However the other wildlife we saw made up for it. The lodge is quite a long way from the park gate, so be prepared for that, as well as the formula one style jostling of the jeeps before the gates open! It seems to be really important to get in front of the jeep closest to yours which is quite strange when they all settle down to a steady 20kmh when through the gates!
