Single Inn Kaohsiung Linsen

If you're coming here, you'd be better off going to the Solo Room Single Inn nearby. The sauna and hot springs are better here, but the difference in facilities is just too stark. It smells, the air conditioning doesn't work well, and the Solo Room Single Inn has much better accessibility. Plus, this place is tucked away in a very secluded alley.

This guesthouse offers great value for money. It has hot springs and a sauna, though I didn't get to use them as I came back too late from the beer festival. I think there was also a massage room? Other facilities were complete, but the location was a bit hard to find. The GPS pointed to a bank, but it's actually down an alley in the basement. This is quite inconvenient for people with mobility issues or those carrying luggage as there are only stairs. However, the overall environment and cleanliness were pretty good. One thing though, the notices here should be bigger as many people slam doors – the soundproofing isn't great, and you can clearly hear the banging all night long, plus the hairdryer noise. On the upside, breakfast is included, and they offer luggage storage and hot springs.

I used this place for a solo trip. Towels cost extra; I think a bath towel was 50 NTD. Depending on when you check in, they might have someone who speaks Japanese. I was given instructions in English. Check-out is super easy, just return the key to the front desk.

Breakfast is served in the morning. The location is in the basement, so it's a bit damp. Someone was snoring.

Came here for a business trip, just a few days after my last stay. It was raining, so a hot soak in the large public bath was incredibly relaxing. The value for money is pretty good, especially since breakfast is included. You can also relax in the lobby after checking out; I waited for the rain to stop before heading out.

The surroundings are very convenient, Kaohsiung Station is about a 10-minute walk away.
