Bamboo Hotel

The surroundings are pretty good, and the price is decent if you're just here for a simple trip.

The twin room was very comfortable and clean. They also have a water dispenser, which is a nice touch. A big plus is the parking lot next door (though it costs extra). Even better, it's just a short walk to Liuhe Night Market, and there are souvenir shops nearby, making it super convenient. You might see these two photos because the hotel made me sign a form stating that if I stained their bedding or smoked, I'd be charged $500-$1000.

The hotel is located near Formosa Boulevard MRT Station and Kaohsiung Main Station, with bus access and Ubike (public bike-sharing) nearby. The room was quite spacious, and the overall cleanliness was very good. They don't provide disposable toiletries, but the bathroom does have shampoo and shower gel. The front desk isn't open 24 hours, and they don't offer luggage storage, which is a bit inconvenient. Travelers planning to stay here should keep this in mind.

Overall, it's quite suitable for solo travelers. Living alone, the space felt really ample – plenty of room for luggage and moving around. The location is convenient, just a little over a 10-minute walk to Kaohsiung Station, and very close to Liuhe Night Market. Despite that, the room wasn't too noisy; it was relatively quiet, and I slept pretty well. The front desk staff had a good attitude during check-in, and when leaving in the morning, you can handle the check-out yourself, which is great for those with a tight schedule. The room generally looked clean, but smaller details like corners, tabletops, and the sofa weren't particularly clean. If you have extremely high cleanliness standards, you might find it barely acceptable. However, for a one or two-night stay, if you don't mind these minor imperfections, it's a cost-effective choice.
