I've always celebrated my birthday abroad, but this time, due to a typhoon, it was my first time choosing a domestic hotel for a birthday trip. I saw someone recommend Joho Hotel... and when I clicked in, I realized it was exactly the immersive hotel experience I was looking for. From breakfast, afternoon tea, and hot meals to the tipsy night in the evening, it was truly wonderful. The food was flawless and definitely filling! 😆 Plus, the room had a bathtub and a window, so you could enjoy a drink while soaking. It was clean and tidy, and there were complimentary sparkling water and a free-to-use capsule coffee machine. It was simply delightful! 🤣 Before check-in, I told the hotel my request for a good view to fully soak in the birthday atmosphere, and they delivered perfectly. I was on the top floor with an unobstructed view outside, and I could even see clouds drifting in the morning. 🥰 During check-in, the front desk thoughtfully gave me a small gift and their best wishes, which was a pleasant surprise and kicked off a wonderful memory. The next day at breakfast, the kind lady who seated me found out it was my birthday and even left a birthday card on my takeout cupcake. When I saw it back in my room, I was deeply touched. And when I turned on the TV, my name was displayed on the screen, welcoming me! 😳😳 It's these little details that show Joho Hotel's attentiveness and the staff's thoughtfulness, leaving a lasting impression on me. It will definitely be on my go-to list, and I'll recommend it to friends. Thank you! 😘🥰😊 (Oh, and one more thoughtful little detail: the housekeeping staff, upon seeing guests in the elevator, would always wait for the next one instead of coming in, so my elevator rides were always smooth and quick to reach my destination. Perhaps it's because the elevator is a bit small?)

The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient. Getting a late-bird discount made the stay feel very worthwhile, but without it, I'd consider it a bit pricey.

The bathroom hygiene was poor, the hallway lighting was insufficient, and the soundproofing was quite bad. The service attitude was just average, and there weren't many breakfast options. The outdoor garden was closed due to rain. Apart from the curfew, which made it feel safer, everything else was pretty mediocre.

This hotel is right at the intersection in front of Kaohsiung Main Station, so the location is absolutely fantastic, and transportation is super convenient! You can leave your luggage before check-in, which is incredibly helpful for travelers from out of town. The front desk staff's explanation was very clear and easy to understand. We checked in just as the afternoon tea service was ending, and I really appreciate that the staff allowed us to enjoy the items in those last few minutes – thank you! 👍 The breakfast offers three main courses to choose from, and they were all incredibly delicious. There's also a wide variety of snacks and options for breakfast; it was so good we didn't want to leave. The room comfort is excellent, and everything is super clean and tidy. When you turn on the TV, there's even a special welcome message thanking you for staying, which made us feel really happy. We will definitely choose to stay at JOHO again when we come to Kaohsiung! 👍

The hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled between the train station and the Boulevard metro stop, which connects to a large part of the city. Daily tours also depart from Exit 11, which is about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel, depending on your pace. The staff are very friendly and speak English well. The room is lovely, spacious, and clean. Breakfast is à la carte: each day you can choose from the available options, and the main dish is cooked fresh (with a reservation made the day before), while sides, cappuccino, and the rest of the buffet are freely accessible. On the top floor, there's a beautiful panoramic conservatory where you can relax and admire the city from above. I highly recommend this hotel; I had a great stay, and it's also very quiet.

The location is super convenient, right next to Kaohsiung Main Station, making it quick to get anywhere by metro, including Kaohsiung Arena and Liuhe Night Market, which are both nearby. We really loved the style of the hotel room; it had a nice European feel. The only minor drawback was that it was a bit dim in front of the bathroom mirror, which made putting on makeup a bit tricky, but overall, it felt amazing and super comfortable! For breakfast, in addition to the usual chicken, pork, and fish, there were also ********* options like egg pancakes, turnip cake, oyster omelets, soup dumplings, and teppanyaki noodles. Perhaps because we stayed for quite a while (five nights), the chef prepared special menus for us on the last two days, making steak and tiger prawn pasta, which was absolutely delicious. In the afternoon, there were also various light bites and drinks to enjoy, including special blended juices and even cheese foam tea. Most importantly, all the staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful! If I visit Kaohsiung again, I would definitely choose this hotel without hesitation!

Slept very comfortably, the room was very clean, and the service was impeccable. There's also afternoon tea on the second floor, which was very relaxing. I'd love to stay again if I have the chance. Highly recommend it to everyone!

I stayed for two nights. The hotel is conveniently located near Kaohsiung Station and Formosa Boulevard Station, and Liuhe Tourist Night Market is also just a short walk away. The room's bathroom and toilet are stylishly designed with glass, but this might be a bit awkward if you're staying with friends. They kindly provided snacks, water, and juice in the room, which was a very thoughtful touch. I also enjoyed relaxing in the guest lounge.
