It was a nightmare. The hotel was very old, the carpets were dirty, and the rooms were very damp. There was dust in the rooms that hadn't been cleaned for years. I absolutely do not recommend staying there.

Great location, very close to the MRT and train stations, and Liuhe Night Market is right next door. Easily walkable. Plenty of food and drink options nearby. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Service was also excellent.

The hotel is in serious need of renovation. The room is not good enough for the price being charged. The sound insulation is very poor compared to other hotels in Taiwan, and there was mold in many areas. The bathtub had a visible crack (which explains why the room below suffers from water damage), and even the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The tap water had a strong chlorine smell. We had a room with a window, but the view was directly onto the elevators. The air cooler made quite a loud noise; for sensitive sleepers, earplugs are recommended. At night, the room temperature dropped to 18 degrees Celsius, so I had to wear a down jacket to sleep. Plus, it made an annoying noise. Another frustrating thing was that I had to let the water run for a while to get hot water in the bathroom, and the exhaust fan also made a loud noise, which really affected my sleep at night.
