Everything was very good for the price but the bed is very hard. It’s also a bit too small. Also it would be nice to have a safe in the room.

Location near the night market but a bit over priced.

This was my first time staying at Jiufu Hotel in Kaohsiung. I specifically chose this old-style hotel, a style I'd never experienced before. The location is excellent; it's about a 2-minute walk to Liuhe Night Market and about a 5-minute walk to Formosa Boulevard MRT station. The room was fairly comfortable; the bed was a bit firm but comfortable, but unfortunately there were only two pillows. The toilet and sink in the bathroom looked very new. The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing; there was no Western-style salad bar, and the coffee machine only offered Americano coffee. There was no fresh milk, only milk scoops. There were a few kinds of stir-fried Chinese vegetables, but the congee pot didn't have a heating system underneath, so it was only lukewarm to cold. P.S. I stayed for 3 nights from July 4th to 6th and checked out on July 7th.

The Liuhe Night Market is very close, just a short walk away. This restaurant has been operating for over 30 years; it's a childhood memory of my parents taking me there on tour buses. It's been renovated and is very clean, but the beds are quite hard and the pillows are too low, leaving me with aches and pains afterward. It's a top choice for tour bus travelers in Kaohsiung. Breakfast is simple, just enough to fill you up, and it's convenient with underground parking.

Breakfast was almost entirely vegetarian, with the exception of meat floss, which was considered a meat dish. It was an old-fashioned restaurant; the TV only had basic channels; and there was no separation of wet and dry areas.

The front desk was great. I didn't know a typhoon was coming on my way back, so the staff member asked me to check my flight schedule and I was able to change my reservation. They told me I could extend my stay if I couldn't change my reservation, which gave me peace of mind. They also have one staff member who speaks Japanese. The price and location are great. The breakfast might not be ideal for Japanese people.

Large buses carrying domestic tour groups arrived every day. Breakfast was also good. The Liuhe Night Market is open every night just around the corner. There were squirrels at the nearby elementary school.

It is recommended to eat at a breakfast restaurant outside the restaurant, which is more delicious. Bed is hard Good sound insulation

The bed was too hard and small like a king-size single bed. I couldn't turn over and sleep well all night. I was looking forward to a vegetarian breakfast. I booked a room again when I came here 2 years ago and it felt great. I was really disappointed.

I was very satisfied with the accommodation facilities. It's close to Miryang Station, so it's easy to get to anywhere. There's a night market nearby, so you can buy fruit.
