I stayed here with my family and checked in during the evening. After pushing the beds together, we found that the room was not very clean, and there were strands of hair on the bed. This was very disappointing and left a bad first impression. The hotel said they would address the issue, but it should not have happened in the first place. Overall, the hotel was extremely quiet, and it was often difficult to find staff when we needed assistance. I would not recommend this hotel if you prefer a place with an active atmosphere or readily available service. The hotel also felt quite empty during our stay. The only real advantage was that the room was spacious.

The facilities are excellent, the hospitality and food are superb, and the hot spring is amazing! We were extremely satisfied!

The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Although it was a Saturday, there were few guests, and there was no one at the front desk (you had to use the buzzer to call someone). I felt that there might not be anyone to assist if something happened. In particular, the public bath (the women's urinal) had a lock, but I couldn't lock it because it would prevent others from using it, which was a little scary. Also, I chose the Japanese breakfast, but the content was very disappointing. The breading on the frozen minced meat cutlet was burnt and had a bitter taste.

I arrived late at night, but they arranged my bath time and offered to help me relax, which I really appreciated. 😆 I walked there in the middle of the night, and the road was pitch black, so it was a little scary. 💦

I stayed for one night in a deluxe single room (room only) on the weekend after Golden Week. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I had read somewhere that it was originally a training facility and wouldn't have the same level of service as a hotel, but the service was perfectly fine, which was great. Room wear (samue) is provided. There were two bottles of complimentary water and tea in the refrigerator. Despite it being the weekend, there seemed to be still rooms available, so I think it's a hidden gem and a good place to stay at a reasonable price. It was excellent.

It doesn't really feel like a hotel, but more like accommodation for musicians' concerts and seminars. There is no bathroom in the single room, so you have to use the large public bath. Men and women are separated, but there is no security, so you can come and go as you like. The hours of use are limited, so you can't use it at 6am... Perhaps because the building is old, it's not very clean, and I couldn't sleep because of the random noises of the plumbing. The front desk also has a simple table for reception. There were several staff members at the time of check-in, but when I left at 7:30 the next day, there was no one there, so I just left my key on the table and left without checking out. I rang the bell, but no one came, so I felt uneasy, wondering if it was okay? ? I don't think I'll come back unless something extraordinary happens. However, the view of the greenery from the room is soothing.

It was pretty good; the staff were very friendly, but my Japanese and English aren't very good, so I couldn't chat with them.

The room was spacious! The large public bath was fun. It was quiet and about a 15-minute walk from Naka-Karuizawa Station. The staff were very helpful, thank you!
