An old Japanese hot spring hotel with branches in many places. The rooms are mainly Japanese style. The rooms are clean and tidy. The food is not surprising. The breakfast is simple and has everything you need.

Incredible, cool, historical. I stayed with a hiking group and the dinner was soooo good. It was a fancy meal of fugu, sashimi, hot pot and more. The manager dude, Sato, has excellent English and is very friendly and professional. I slept well on a futon, and the air conditioning was great. The breakfast buffet was very good. Loved it.

20mins walk to the karuizawa station, it only costs around 1000yen for a taxi ride. Dinner is a must try here, very delicious and decent traditional Japanese cuisine. Room size is okay, just the public bath is a bit too small.
