The hotel was surprisingly nice. There's a church nearby, and a shuttle bus to the cafeteria. However, the cafeteria food was really bad. The Karuizawa area is somewhat similar to Aranya. Also, you'll need to take a taxi frequently. It's suitable for a vacation, but don't have high expectations for the food.

Overall, the luxury is not enough and the accommodation is a bit small, but you can enjoy all the facilities of Xinye. Baidu is very convenient. You can get discounts when going to hot springs, which seems to be half price. It can be said that it is also an option, but if there are other hotel special offers, you can consider the special offer

What could be better than staying in a hot spring mountain resort?

I went for Hoshino. I didn't expect it to be a youth hostel, but it was a hotel price. The public tea room needs to be self-service, toothbrushes and bathrobes are self-service on demand, and there is no service at all. Within a 10-minute walk, you can go to Hoshino Hot Springs on Elm Street, Plateau Church, Stone Church... There is no dinner, only breakfast, and there is an additional fee of JP1300, see the picture.
We booked this hotel after we heard a lot of good feedback about Hoshino Hotel Group. We were so looking forward before our stay but it turned out to be BIG let down: Check in: The reception was neither friendly nor helpful . We provided her with our check in QR code. The next minute, she just handed us with two room access cards in one card folder, breakfast & onsen vouchers without talking to us. I did ask for more information about the hotel but she asked me to scan a QR code and read it on my own. The worst part is when we were about to check out, we only found out that there were 6 x1000 yen spending/meal vouchers in the room access card folder. We were totally unaware of these vouchers and the reception didn't inform us about them upon check in. As we had to catch Shinkansen back to Tokyo, we were unable to use them all. Breakfast: The breakfast was not good per the reviews said. We ordered one American breakfast and one french toast (chef recommendation). The French toast was a disaster, it was too sweet and still mushy in the middle. We were in Japan for 10 days and staying at different hotels. Sadly to say, BEB5 Karuizawa was truly a big disappointment in terms of the money we paid for.

This time I stayed at Hoshino Resorts BEB5. The lobby space is very spacious, where I can play table games or gather with a large group of friends. The room is very clean and has a bathtub for bathing. You can also use the room to go to Hoshino Onsen to enjoy half-price hot spring bathing.

Used as a night stay before a wedding. I was worried because I heard it was a hotel for young people, but my fears were justified. I felt really disappointed. First of all, the front desk was incredibly incompetent. When I asked them to arrange a taxi, they told me to call them myself, but they didn't say anything about it. I was quite annoyed. It can't be helped that a taxi can't be found during the Obon season, and I can't take responsibility for making the arrangements, so I can't help but have them contact me myself, but there are ways to say it. And even though it was a new facility, there was no USB power supply at the bedside. It was said to be a facility for young people, so this was too inconvenient. I wonder if there are people who carry around AC adapters to charge their smartphones these days. And there was no guide map inside the museum. Cost savings? It may be for the sake of safety, but is it necessary to inform them of evacuation routes? . . I felt a lot of regret. The only good thing was that the mattresses were of better quality than business hotels. It was my first time staying at Hoshino Resorts, but I don't think I'll go again.
