Qinivake International Hotel (Kashgar Ancient City)

Overall, the experience was fantastic, truly a five-star hotel. The location is convenient for getting around, and the room was clean, tidy, spacious, and comfortable. The bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a high-quality sleep. The service was professional and attentive, with the concierge and front desk staff being enthusiastic and responsive. Check-in and check-out were efficient and smooth. Breakfast offered a rich variety of exquisite dishes in an elegant setting. The facilities were well-maintained, and hygiene details were impeccable. It offers great value for money. I was very satisfied with my stay and highly recommend it. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!

The hotel boasts a huge parking lot and an excellent downtown location. You can tell from the hardware facilities that it once had its glory days, but the software definitely needs some maintenance. However, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the breakfast selection is especially diverse. As for cleanliness, I stayed for several nights, but the staff never came to clean my floor, and the bathroom had a recurring foul odor.

On the 22nd floor of the VIP Building, as shown in the picture, dirty water would bubble up from the drain after taking a shower. The toilet was full of tiny black bugs. I reported the bathroom odor to the hotel twice, but they just brushed it off. It wasn't until the bathroom became disgusting after a shower that they finally moved me to a different room. The breakfast was very simple. The hotel mainly caters to tour groups. The steamed cakes, watermelon, and milk were decent; the milk was fresh and even had a skin on it.

This is an older hotel, and the facilities are a bit dated, even in the VIP building. Breakfast gets very crowded with too many tour groups. If you're traveling independently by car, you might want to consider other options. However, the Uyghur staff at the front desk were very professional and spoke excellent Chinese.

I stayed for three days in total. The first day was in the North Building, which had facilities similar to Motel 168. The downsides were peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, fixed with tape, and a persistent sewer smell. Given the affordable price, I didn't complain much (the attached photo is from the North Building). On the second and third days, I moved to the Main Building. The room was more than 200% more expensive, but the experience was even worse! There was no place to charge my phone by the bed, which was the most intolerable issue (I stayed for over ten days in Xinjiang afterward, and no other hotel had this problem). The air conditioning was practically nonexistent; ventilation relied on opening the window. Breakfast had very limited choices, basically Motel 168 standard. Service was hit-or-miss; I asked the front desk three times if I could get two key cards, and each time they told me to wait, but I never received them. The only upside is its proximity to the ancient city. Honestly, there's not much else to praise.

The hotel's location is excellent, right near the West Gate of the Old City. The building is impressive and can be seen from anywhere in the Old City area. Different buildings offer various room types, catering to different guests' needs and budgets. The North Building is very affordable. I initially booked it with the intention of deciding whether to upgrade upon arrival, but I found the room to be quite good actually, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast is included, but it's just so-so. If you're not in a hurry, it's best to avoid going for breakfast too early, as there are many tour groups in the morning.
