good location near to all you need restaurants, shops, bars..... rooms are very clean and big, good view of the city from the top floor

Its very clean room. Everything was ready upon check in. There is garden in the middle of the hotel with nice rooftop restaurant. Definitely coming back for my next trip.

Nice hotel. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. Rooms could’ve been a little more clean, dusting required.

The staff are just wonderful, they cannot do enough for you. Perfect location to explore Kathmandu. Would definitely use this hotel again.

I am glad i had heard about this hotel before I booked my trip. I found myself being pleasantly surprised by everything there. The room was clean, a good size, with a beautiful view of Thamel and the mountains. It also had a small balcony that allowed a better view of the city. I enjoyed the included breakfast buffet each morning and was surprised that it had a rotating list of dishes, so you do not see the same options every morning. I also had dinner twice at the hotel because I was too tired from a day of sight seeing to go out to find something. Both times the meal was more than expected and very affordable. They have a spa located on the premises that unfortunately I was only able to use once. I got a simple hour massage that was a great help for travel weary muscles. They also have a sauna and steam bath. I am sad I did not take advantage, but time was short for my trip. Above all the thing that made my stay here so wonderful was the staff. I got to know so many of the people that work at Hotel Thamel Park, it felt like I was leaving family by the end. As a travel tip, I found the conversion rate at the reception desk to be better than anyplace within quick walking distance of the hotel. Also they have a very affordable laundry service.

The hotel was picked for us by our tour company (Pristine Nepal) as part of a trekking package. We were allocated rooms on the high floors, which turned out to be great - little traffic noise. The rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was pleasant - good food, spacious and not crowded with tourists at all. The views of Kathmandu from the sky lounge were fantastic. Restaurants were nearby, as were shops for trekking gear and souvenirs. We stayed an extra two days after our trek. The room tariffs were competitive, thanks to our tour company being a regular customer.

I did the trekking to Everest base camp an I stayed 1 night before the trekking and 1 night after trekking. I left some small baggage at the hotel, i didn't want to carry with me. When I returned,I couldn't find my baggage. We looked,we checked the camera. Because it was small,someone, we suppose throw it away or took it. And what upset me more,the manager was laughing about the situation. They said it was not their responsability.
