The inn is very accessible from the airport. The nightshift male receptionist is very very friendly. And attended to all of our needs and queries. He even asked the chinese restaurant beside to wait for us before they close down at 11.30pm. The family room that we booked is very nice and very spacious. Good for travelers with lots of things as it has a living room area where we can out all of our things first. Will book again whenever i am in Kathmandu

Older hotel with a real Nepal feel. Very close to endless shops, bars and cafes.

① There was a large brown stain on the futon sheets. ②No toothbrush, tissues, hair dryer, indoor slippers ③The towels are old and dirty. ④The toilet and shower are close together and there are no curtains, so the toilet gets soaked when you use the shower. ⑤Winter showers are tough because the water is lukewarm ⑥No air conditioner It's cheaper to book locally.

This hotel receives some of the highest ratings on ***********, Expedia.com, and here. We booked the hotel as a result and were just amazed at the disconnect between the reviews and the reality. The hotel is dim and claustrophobic. Staff are fairly helpful. However, the rooms -- or at least the one we were assigned -- are uncomfortable and dirty. We found lights broken, garbage still on the floor from a previous tenant, and a dingy, very tight, and unclean bathroom. There were mosquitos in the room, probably due to the window that would not close, leaving an always-open 1.5cm gap. The air conditioner turned on, but then turned off. The towels were grey. The bed was small, mushy, and poor quality and sagged to the middle. The window was filthy, but no matter, it looked out to a wall a couple of feet away. We stayed only a couple of hours while I searched for a better hotel. On leaving, I received no difficulty or quarrel with the staff. Again, they were quite reasonable. What really bothers me is that this hotel has risen to, or near to, the top on many sites. I understand that my North American perspectives may not square with those of people from around the world, but still, it seems improbable that so many would praise this property so enthusiastically. My advice is simply to lower your expectations significantly if you stay here. It is a cheap place to lay down your head, but it's no more, and probably something less, than you should expect for the price.

Nice and quiet hoyel located in the heart of busy Thamel diatrict. Rooms are clean, service is very nice. The owner is helpful. There is also a restaurant at the roof of the hotel that offers breakfast and dinner.

I absolutely loved this place. Mahesh, his family and his staff made you feel as if the hotel was your home. He helped me out with shipping a large parcel home as I was travelling elsewhere and didn’t need all my trekking gear. Which was extremely helpful. My package arrived home to Australia within a week. I am writing this review after returning to Australia and I can honestly say, the service at Nepali pavilion inn was some of the best. This place is my home in Kathmandu and when I return, I will stay again without a doubt. Thanks again for the excellent hospitality for my first time visiting Nepal. Cheers to the Nepali pavilion inn

This has been one of the most enjoyable stays I have ever had. The staff far exceeded any expectation in help with flights, taxi, recommendations or anything you needed. Their restaurant was excellent. I would highly recommend this inn and I hope to return in the future. I loved this place.

I stayed a couple of nights before trekking and it was ideal. The location is great and the rooms have everything I needed - hot showers, towels, kettle, bottled water They have a rooftop bar/restaurant with plenty of options for breakfast and other meals. What really made this stay great is the owner Mahesh who is the loveliest and most helpful person. As a female travelling alone I could not have felt safer under his care - he helped me with taxis, and when one driver appeared drunk he didn’t let me get in and instead ordered a taxi on his app - I’m very grateful 🙏 The NPI is a short walk from main locations like Durbar Square, Asan Bazaar and the hustle bustle of Thamel, and is great value.

Very clean hotel in the heart of the Thamel area. Budget price (approx $20 for a double room with bathroom) and well worth the money. Quiet location as it is off the street. Lovely rooftop restaurant for breakfast and light meals. Friendly staff.

We spent a total of 5 nights at the Pavillon Inn before and after our Trek just before Christmas this year We were really impressed with the staff and the rooms at the hotel. For the price and location you can’t really beat it. The beds are comfortable and the laundry/ blankets clean and warm There is hot water throughout the day and all the communal areas are very well maintained. Travelling with two kids we felt safe and were well looked after at the Pavillon Inn. We left our additional bags there while we were away in the mountains. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good local hotel in easy walking distance of all the buzz of Thamel, just not the associated noise of the busy areas.

I love the Nepal Pavilion Inn! The staff (especially Prakash) is so helpful and kind! I had 5 days in Kathmandu and they gave me great tips on what I could do and whenever I just wanted to relax in my room, me and my partner felt so at home. Whenever I had a question, for example, how to get hot water to my shower - they were very helpful in helping me understand how it worked. I felt like the staff had our best interest. Remember that you’re in Nepal and I think for the price you pay, it is a really nice place and great service! I reached out to them weeks in advance and they were very responsive and prompt to my emails when reserving and I am about to head off to Chitwan for a few days and they are willing to hold my luggage until I get back…I can just tell that they wanted to make our experience a great one. Thank you Nepal Pavilion Inn!!!
